I’ve had a great experience here: I came in for a Sunday lunch and the place was adorable, the music was perfect, the food so original and delicious and Carla, who served me was the absolute best! She absolutely made my day, what a sweetheart she is. She was so sincerely engaging and kind, she really touched me. My boyfriend and I had just been in the desert for two days so such a wonderful place to have lunch at was very welcome! I was drawn in by the wonderful atmosphere of the whole place and stayed for the food! I had the tomato basil soup and bison burger with blue cheese dressing and bacon marmelade. Both were excellent

What a great birthday lunch I had. I had the Bison burger and my boyfriend had the Elk patty melt, he has some food allergies and cook was so accommodating. We will definitely be back. Great food, great presentation, great service and such a cute place, lots of movie memorabilia.

When most other restaurants are closed in Kanab, The Dining Room at Parry Lodge has your back! Scrambled eggs were delicious (plenty of spots manage to mess this up), biscuits and gravy was great, bacon was nice and crispy. Portions are not huge which is a nice change of pace from the typical American dining experience. Highly recommend, especially off season.

Unexpected surprise! We stopped here after learning that John Wayne used to stay at the lodge. Carla, our server, was absolutely lovely. The food’s presentation was beautiful and tasted wonderful too. The chef does a great job blending different textures and flavors. Like who knew that microgreens would go with dessert? But it totally works! Note, they don’t serve alcohol, but I know they’ve been trying to get a liquor license for a few months, so hopefully that will go through soon!

We have eaten the seasonal buffet numerous times. The waitstaff and food were always at least 4 stars.
We just had breakfast off their menu and we were shocked by the decline in
service and food quality.
There was only one table in the entire restaurant occupied when we arrived. The waitress was super slow. She did not bring us menus until after we sat down and ordered coffee. During the entire breakfast she never checked on us, or, replenished our coffees. She brought our food out in piecemeal portions. With only two other tables occupied. We came to the conclusion the managers must be using housekeepers as wait staff.
The bacon was very good. The potatoes were hard dried up cubes. Uneatable.

Food was unreal, hard to believe the dining room has such a small amount of reviews with the hotel having such a rich history. If you want an amazing meal I highly recommend checking this place out instead of some of the spots with thousands of reviews. 1000/10 would come back.

A local gem! I tried this place on a whim – it is a recent entrant into the Kanab fine dining market.
The hostess was welcoming and my server knew the menu well. I opted for the 16 oz cider-brined pork chop, and it did not disappoint! Just the right amount of tang from the cider and served on Parmesan and winter squash risotto, with pickled apple and pumpkin bbq. Tres delish! Just the thing for a cold December night.
They have a wine and beer license but no hard alcohol (Utah being Utah.)
All in all a pleasant surprise – I will be back.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. The southwest eggs, French toast, maple bacon, biscuits… it was so delicious we ate here several times while in town. Plus the history of the former Star hotel guests was fascinating.

Wow. We went out for Valentines and the meal was excellent. Our server Marlowe and the rest of the team gave exceptional service. I am not easy to please especially these days, but chef Henry truly put his magic into the food this evening. The food was flavorful, fresh, unique, and our 4 course meal was perfectly portioned allowing us to enjoy our dessert. Kanab restaurants don’t cease to amaze me. So many great choices. We will definitely be back to Parry’s.
