I had the pleasure of visiting The Depot in Leavenworth, Kansas — a truly charming restaurant located inside an old train depot. The building is full of history and character, with beautiful architecture that really sets the mood.
The menu offers a great selection of both breakfast and lunch items, and the staff were friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable about the dishes.
I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict, and it absolutely stood out from the rest — perfectly poached eggs, a toasted English muffin, and what really made it special was the thick-sliced ham. Simply amazing!
This is a must-visit spot — come for the history, stay for the food, and enjoy the whole experience.

It was a nice cozy place for my wife and I to have lunch at. Food was good, so was the bloody mary despite it being less than stiff, but thats probably a problem for me. Our server was super awesome and attentive to the perfect degree.

Great atmosphere – nice family restaurant. Dillon was our server and provided personable, friendly and knowledgeable service. Ordered the chicken salad sandwich which was fresh, very good portion size and had plenty of grapes. The sweet potato fries were lightly crisp and hot. Prices are very competitive. Highly recommend.

This place is yummy first off. They have several gluten free options so a good place for anyone. Breakfast served business hours. It can get busy so avoid peak hours and check Google to see how busy it might be before going. Cool architecture as it’s an old train depot. Friendly and comfortable weight staff. Always a good choice and very accommodating. I rated down atmosphere due to the sound when it’s busy inside it can get very loud but again it’s the building nothing can be done about it.

1.) Depot signature Eggs Benedict $14.50 My husband said it was good his only call out was the ham was too thick of a cut.
2.) BLT on sourdough $11.00 this was tasty all ingredients were fresh.
We will be back!

Amazing!! This place has it all. Wonderful homemade food from scratch. Fabulous service and a friggin cool atmosphere. If you like that quaint, down home feel this is your place. Alexandria was our server and she was stellar! The owner made us feel like family. Definitely coming back!

We went here because of my daughter. This place is amazing the best thing I had was the sweet and spicy bacon get it you won’t regret it. I tried a few bites of everyone’s meals none disappointed. Also the cheese curds were amazing also just need to get marinara dipping sauce they don’t carry it. I’ve never seen an owner of a place in the mix of everything she was stopping and talking with people and seating them and bring there food to them. The atmosphere was superb! I would recommend this place to everyone in the area and when we go back to see our daughter and grandchildren we will definitely be going back.

Tried chefs Mike poutine. Burnt ends, fried cheese curds, gravy, over a bed of sweet potato waffle fries! I’ve tried a lot of poutine and this is by far the most creative and the best! Make this a staple on the menu please. Besides yummy food- they are always so welcoming and kind!

My wife and I are new to the area and were delighted to find this local gem. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the themed atmosphere is a great touch. While our lunch sandwiches were a bit too greasy for our liking, the service and vibe were so good that we’re definitely looking forward to coming back and trying something else on the menu!
