We couldn’t have found a better place to eat after visiting the world’s only Corn Palace. What an interesting town, sites and a restaurant and a train depot just can’t be beat. The food was good, the Ambiance great and our server was fantastic.

Food was great, salad was perfect, my main meal came right after I was done with the salad. Chicken fried steak with baked potato. It was very tender and baked potato was just as good

The dishes have some room for improvements. For instance, the chislic are succulent but bland. Probably it may be just me, I am a little disappointed in the statefish walleye. The taste of cilantro was too strong, but the fish itself was cooked just right. It is the side dish waffle fries that shines. Service, however was phenomenal and there was ample parking. In my opinion, the food was certainly not exceptional but I may consider dine here again. How often can you dine inside a former train depot?

I have been to the The Depot numerous times over the years either grabbing dinner or just for drinks. I have been pleased with most of the food I’ve ordered. The prices may seem a little higher than other local spots. I really love the historic building and the way the owners maintained the railroad influences throughout the restaurant and lounge. I appreciate the craft beer selections from across South Dakota. I have always enjoyed my time here and recommend you give it a try as well.

Nice restaurant just a few blocks from the Corn Palace. Nice family atmosphere with many locals eating there. We had walleye, a Reuben, and a chicken Caesar salad. All good. Nice beer list. Great service.

Food was great. The waitress was great. I had a burger with Raspberry sauce drizzled on top. Wasn’t something I thought of having on a burger before, but it tasted great. All of the tables have information on trains under plexiglass. My son loves trains. Before eating, while eating, and after eating, he spent his time reading the articles and then taking pictures of articles so he could re-read them in the car. We would go back again.

We go to the Depot often as it’s one of our favorites. Tonight, I branched out and tried the salmon for the first time and it was dynamite. So so so yummy.

This restaurant came highly recommended. I would have given it 5 stars except that the staff was not only inattentive but did not seem to be enjoying their job. I enjoyed a burger with jalapeños and a raspberry sauce. My wife ordered Rueben stuffed potato skins which were tasty. The decor is unique. The restaurant sits right on the railroad tracks! The food is good just don’t expect satisfactory service.

Plenty of parking near this historic train station restaurant. They have a great selection of food items as well as a nice drink menu. Service was really good and our server was super friendly. The burgers were good and the meat was very fresh. We also had the chips and queso dip which was really good as well. The place was clean had a well preserved train station vibe.
