This is the place where you must go for the late night dinner using meal swipes. The food is just okay. But due to whatever reason, the place seems pretty popular among the students and the number of orders before yours will be huge if you place an order too late.

About an hour ago I was with my associate the Bmann and his in laws and he paid $20 to be seated ahead of the line which was quite long. We sat for 40 minutes and finally talked to Shaunte and asked if someone was going to take our order and she said we needed to get back in the long line in order to place an order.
My associate had a heated verbal exchange with Shaunte and the police showed up because the manager had called even though no threats were made.
Personally I am not one for drama and I plan to visit again when I am in Cleveland next month and hope things have improved because I like the new non-breakfast fast-casual menu items that Denny’s has added in the last few years.

The Den is FIRE. Food is so good. The staff are the sweetest people you will ever meet. The vibes are retro diner and super homey. The wait usually takes awhile from 8pm-2am since it’s the only restaurant open until late at CWRU. That being said, expect to wait for sometimes an hour for food. When in doubt order ahead. This is not in any way the staff’s fault, however. Our school needs more than just one food place open past 9 pm. There are also only about 4-5 workers trying to feed hundreds of starving college kids. When you walk in during peak hours, hundreds of takeout bags line the counter. The app which we order food through for the Den is also extremely inconvenient and annoying. CWRU needs to switch their app for how we order food and get another late night location on the map! The Den is the only option which is not good for students who are hungry and staff who are overworked every night.

Was open super late. Fast paced environment… A little loud at times, but nice over all. Staff were very much occupied with work and very enthusiastic. The free soda option was a lovely touch! Great place to grab a fast bite and either sit for a bit, or go back to your adventure!

This place steals from students. The food is mediocre and the service is horrendous. Food is never prepared timely and the workers are incredibly rude. I’d rather have an actual Denny’s with quality customer service than a bunch of unorganized workers and condescending attitudes. I ordered online through a third party app (an app that you are forced to use by this excuse of a restaurant.. they refuse to take phone-in orders). Each time I order the app says that the food is ready, I go to the restaurant, and still have to wait 45 minutes in a mass of confused chaotic students. The last time I went there I vowed to never go again. I placed an order and was charged, went to the restaurant, and apparently they lost my order and refused to give me the food I paid for. The worker then proceeded to get into a yelling match and attempted to sic a cook/manager on me because SHE refused to give me food. I checked my account the next day and luckily the app reimbursed me. Honestly, if you are questioning going here, SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to a place where the workers have manners.

Not at all what I expected walking into a place that looks like a real diner. There are no waiters or waitresses. No actual metal flatware or ceramic plates. Napkins are dispensed from a napkin dispenser you would find at a fast food restaurant. This is essentially a school cafeteria in disguise. The staff were friendly enough to avoid complaints. The food took longer than I expected but was hot and tasted good. You have to go pick it up yourself when they call your name. I work at the hospital nearby and was hoping to experience something besides the horrible cafeteria atmosphere. The hunt continues. I don’t recommend the Den and will unfortunately not be back.

Visiting the area from out of state. Stopped in, but didn’t realize had to order through GrubHub app. Couldn’t get it working do to poor internet service MANY times. I believe it was the owner that took our order in person, and comped our meal do to the frustration. Man working front end was very polite and friendly, and food was very good

Nice fast-food place for late night meals. Very close to North Residential Village where first year students live. Have to order through Transact Mobile Ordering app, and pick up at the counter.
