My friends and I had the most incredible night at The Deck at Island Gardens! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking waterfront views and the elegant yet lively atmosphere. The combination of luxury, great music, and top-notch service made for an unforgettable experience.
We enjoyed the branzino, which was perfectly cooked—flaky, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To top it off, the chocolate cake was pure indulgence, the perfect sweet ending to our meal. And let’s talk about the Islander cocktails—we definitely had more than a few, and they were absolutely delicious!
The live music and performances added so much energy to the night, making it even more special. Huge thanks to Manager Maria, who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality truly stood out.

The Deck at Island Gardens is all about the views. The location is stunning, with an unbeatable backdrop of downtown Miami. The ambiance is great, and the service was solid—no complaints there.
Now, onto the food. I only tried the happy hour menu, and honestly, it felt like it was designed for tourists who won’t be coming back. The salmon crispy rice? Easily the worst I’ve ever had. The beef carpaccio? Laughably bad. And the pizza? I’d take a frozen one from the grocery store over what they served. For the prices they charge, the quality is seriously lacking. The price-to-quality ratio is just not there.
That said, this place has a lot of potential. If they overhauled the menu and focused on delivering food that matches the setting, it could be amazing.
The highlight of the night? The wine tasting put together by the Miami Guide team. I sampled five wines, and all were solid. My top picks were the Malbec and the Saint-Émilion Cab Sauvignon—both full-bodied with great structure. Definitely an experience worth repeating and I truly recommend for any one who loves to sip on great wines.
Would I come back? For the views and maybe another wine tasting. For the food? Not unless they make some serious changes.

All around a great restaurant! Excellent customer service! Everyone from the host to the waiter was superb. Very attentive and offered assistance when needed. The cocktails were also delicious! I love the sunset hour special $10 cocktails!!! The views are spectacular of the city. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the chicken dish, tender with lots of flavor. There was also a live DJ. The music was great and not too loud. Definitely a great time.

Nice view but not awesome, the show is “kind of nice” in this place, if I could give -5 stars to service I would, the food is something you can easily make at home, nothing special, the watery drinks… OMG! the bar tender should be fired, drinks are only ice and decoration, no flavor at all, I’m sure I can make better mojitos and pina colada that the bar tender and don’t let me start with the food, nothing special, in conclusion, this place is overrated and overpriced, will certainly not be back, table was dirty all the time, the server did not remove the dirty plates and only changed the cutlery because we asked them , served water w/o ice,did not offer new drinks when the glass was empty, if I was the owner of this place I’d ask myself why I’m not making more money, it’s because or your servers mister. In conclusion, Don’t waste your time in this place

We’ve been there twice. This second time, just the two of us for my birthday celebration. When making the reservation, I was asked what the occasion was and if it was a birthday celebration, which I confirmed. We ordered two drinks, one From St Barth’s with Love, which was tasteless. The food was OK. The service? We had three different servers. The food was delivered in the middle of the table, not in front of each of us. When ordering the desserts, my wife needed to ask for a candle. The question about the kind of celebration seemed “out of curiosity.”
The place is beautiful. The first time we were there, the atmosphere was amazing, now… not much. It was a Thursday so you can imagine some activity, but seems that it lost its touch.

To end my birthday weekend, I booked reservations at the Deck at Island Gardens for brunch. I’ve seen rave reviews about this restaurant on TikTok, channel 10 news, and Yelp so needless to say I was very excited to be celebrating my birthday at this restaurant. When we arrived, we were taken on time to our reservation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; when our table was out in the sun, they accommodated my large party and moved us to a better area with shade. Our hostess for our group was very friendly and helpful as we navigated through the buffet. This restaurant has a yacht club ambience to it. On the back end of the buffet, you see a multitude of yachts parked along the Miami marina. Also you have a view of the beautiful Miami skyline as well. This buffet was amazing! This buffet had everything from burger sliders, fried snapper, pancakes, an omelette, a paella station, and a dessert station with a plethora of cakes. My favorite was the fried red snapper. This fish was fried to a perfect crisp with so much flavor. Also, the paella was amazing, with huge large shrimp. This place definitely lives up to the hype, and I cannot wait to come back.
