I have a gluten and it’s doable here but very little variety. You can get an omelette. On the bright side, the meat lovers omelette is one of the best I’ve had! I guess they usually offer gf bread for toast or a sandwich but didn’t have it this day.
The home fries appeared excellent but unfortunately they tasted “off”. My husband figured out that it was cooked in old rancid oil. It unfortunately ruined my meal. Even just a few bites.
I’m going to assume this was a one off bad experience. The coffee was good and there was a lot of variety. Plenty of parking. And the place had plenty of seating this day. I would say I cautiously recommend this establishment.
I ordered the chicken fajita omelet and it was enormous! Almost couldn’t finish it. Toast. Home fries. Delicious
I ordered a veggie omelet with ham and a medium cup of coffee. Came to about $17. Which is a little more than I pay for breakfast. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.
However, the potatoes I received were a little over done. I don’t know if that’s how they serve it, but they were toasted (or fried) a little too much. They were not seasoned as well.
The omelet was good no complaints there. Coffee tasted good. Although they give you a cup but I don’t think you can get a refill since it’s a foam style cup with lid.
Overall experience not too bad. I was hoping more of a diner experience. But it seemed more cafe style.
I’ll stick to my normal breakfast place (Lucky Strike). Better menu options and free coffee refills.
Lunch.. can be inconsistent and is overpriced imo. Especially, you’ll never know when it’s a hit or miss.
Not bad overall, just know that breakfast is where this place shine.
Comfortable seating and great coffee. I started the day with a toasted bagel with cream cheese. I thought it was going to be jalapeno cream cheese but it ended up being cream cheese topped with jalapenos. Okay, different but still good.
Lunch was a ham and cheese sandwich that was nicely loaded and served with fabulous kettle chips. Filling and inexpensive.
Wifi worked well and the place was quiet enough all day that I was able to work easily. A few Zoom calls here and there, comfortable. I would absolutely return to Dam Cafe.
The atmosphere was lacking, but what rocked was the cupcake. It was huge, moist, tasty, and the only thing that makes me want to go back. I had the blueberry poppy seed muffin. Truly a good find.
