The Daily Beet specialises in health foods as well as vegan and veggie offerings. The menu is well thought out and accommodated well to our group which included a celiac, veggies and vegans- which is a big ask in the culture here!
Nonetheless, the food was fresh and delicious and there was a plethora of offerings for everyone. Many of the non-vegan menu items had a “make it vegan option” whereby ingredients such as egg were swapped for tofu. Prices are reasonable- I had a breakfast burrito accompanied by a rather expensive cookie ($10, similar price to the burrito!) and a cream soda.
Being close to the superdome, this would be a great spot for game day bites or before watching Taylor Swift perform her 3 hour set list on the eras tour.
The breakfast burrito was so hearty and healthy, I think my cholesterol levels actually went down while I was eating it. The mushroom mocha latte was a delightful, earthy potion that probably cleansed my soul of last night’s questionable decisions. And the PB&J protein shake? My muscles, still weeping from my workout, finally stopped threatening to unionize.
Good food, great service, and a distinct lack of guilt-induced stomach gurgles. My body sent me a thank-you card. I’m sending one to The Daily Beet.
I would go against!
The in-restaurant atmosphere is also a great reprieve from the work day. Their music is always great, and the staff is friendly.
The Rainbow bowl was great. Fast service too, I got mine to go but there’s space to chill and eat if you want. Thanks guys, will totally be back in the future.
Service was friendly and informative. The employees were very knowledgeable of their menu and offered substitution recommendations based on my flavor profile and dietary needs.
Flavor was 100% excellent. I ordered the Longevity bowl, subbed quinoa for wild rice, nixed the goat cheese, and added avocado and tofu. Their tofu has amazing flavor and delightful texture. My stepmom ordered the PB&J smoothie, which she really enjoyed.
I appreciate their environmentally conscious water station which features glass jars instead of plastic cups.
Will definitely come back next time I’m in New Orleans!
