What a find! Stopped in for a drink before dinner and what a vibe! The cocktails were fantastic (and $10 during happy hour!) and the servers were super friendly. If we lived here, we’d be regulars!

Ultimately, this was a disappointing experience. The space is beautiful – intimate but not isolating, and the cocktails were excellent. Terrible value, however. The valentines experience was almost robbery. $85/person for a cocktail and seafood platter? Follow-up glasses of wine were meh, at best. Had a 2024 Gamay and sent it back. Too warm by far and watery finish. It had obviously not been stored properly. This is basic hospitality 101. If you are going to charge those prices you need to deliver. This did not.

This is a 1 star rating with love… the food was incredible but we went for Valentine’s Day and the management for sure threw the staff under the bus by (1) having a misleading reservation and (2) possibly overbooking. We had a 9pm reservation, did not get seated until 10:40 and did not get our raw sea food platter until another hour later. The staff tried their best but for an incredibly expensive (up front) cost to only get a tiny seafood platter, misleading expectation to eat at the Dabney and not the wine bar, and then wait 2 hours for any food on Valentine’s Day… is tough. I hope management learns and ideally doesn’t do this ever again… would still try again though for the food.

I love this place!!! Found it on Google and popped in for a drink after dinner. The vibes are amazing, it’s below street level with lovely brick walls and a nice classy but cozy vibe. The wine was very yummy (we had one of the gamays) and some oysters. We also tried the Xtina cocktail which was funky but great. The oysters were by far the best we’ve had in ages so we ordered another dozen. Our waiter Sergei was so nice, cannot say enough good things. Also the stemware was lovely. We’ll definitely be back!!

A hidden gem that you absolutely cannot miss.
Dabney Cellar is THAT girl.
The wine? Immaculate.
The snacks? Insane.
The vibes? 10/10
The staff? 1000/10
As you can see the oysters here were so good we ordered a second round. In addition we shared the honey biscuits and deviled eggs, both of which I would say are life changing.
Small and cozy, Dabney Cellar is great to just chill out, have a date night, or go taste some GREAT wine and snacks. But no matter what you’re looking for in an adventure, make sure this location fits in there somewhere.
Go, go, go!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Hidden and secluded, this little speakeasy-esque spot has fantastic bites and cocktails at a very reasonable price. Sergei was a wonderful waiter/bar tender, and the chef, he was shucking oysters and made the best beef tartar, paying close attention to my friend’s allergies. I absolutely recommend this spot, and will be back again soon.

Such a cozy, intimate, hidden bar – great for a night cap with your date. I got the strawberry spritz and it was delicious! The playlist was wonderful.

This cozy underground bar was a delightful choice for a weekday happy hour. The decor and vibe was dimly lit, warm and comfortable. The drinks were delicious, as were the oysters and the happy hour appetizers. Everything tasted fresh and so good. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid drink/snack spot in Shaw.
