Amazing experience! Came here with two friends and everything was spot on. We started with the Fried Shrimp and Fried Scallops—both were super fresh and crispy. For the main course, we had the Lobster Rolls (one New England and two Connecticut style) and they were easily some of the best we’ve had. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and top-tier seafood. If you’re in College Park, you have to check this place out. Highly recommended!

The Current in College Park is hands down some of the best seafood in Orlando. We find ourselves coming back weekly because it’s consistently that good. The blackened mahi is our go-to and never disappoints. They also have fantastic drink options, especially the $5 Narragansett beer along with a great rotating selection of craft drafts from Maryland to Maine.

The service is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Huge bonus that they’re dog friendly, so it’s easy to enjoy a great meal without leaving your pup at home. Highly recommend if you love fresh seafood, great beer, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

When you know your seafood, you come to the Current, Edgewater Dr in College Park Main Street. There are other locations & quality is a benchmark of each locally owned spot.
Order up front when you arrive. Knowledgeable staff Lisa & Cole can answer all your questions, delver your order ASAP to your table inside or outside on the patio overlooking Albert’s park. Staff is friendly & attentive checking in politely as you’ve started on you food. Comfy, clean & casual is the vibe. You’ll see business diners, dates, solos & families
Talk about a thoughtful menu…let’s do it!
Always a catch, always a blackened feature & signature lobster Po Boys. You choose from 2 classic recipes. $29. Is the price. Chocked full of lobster fresh and elegantly seasoned.
Mix & match is easy with apps, small plates, tasty sides & my favorite, house clam chowder with oyster crackers.
Today for lunch I had linguine with in shell clams, garlic clam broth & herbs. $14. And satisfying. Paired with the house draft always $5. From Maine. Additional beers, wine and a cocktail menu also available
Salads are freshly made & creative & they do have kids offerings. Mac & cheese is a side dish option
This seafood house should be on your NICE list

I’m originally from Michigan, where it’s hard to find really good seafood—especially steamed shrimp. Since moving to Sanford, I decided to check this place out and WOW. The food was amazing! The shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right.
Cole was incredible and made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, and I loved my fries with Old Bay and malt vinegar—chef’s kiss. It was truly a whole experience for me. I’ll definitely be back next week!

Best fish and chips in area, scallops are fried perfectly, old bay fries are amazing, owner and staff are friendly, also have some craft beers from up north that are pretty rare in this area. Highly recommend trying the current if you are in the area you will have a great experience

Here visiting from Arizona, and this came up as a must visit by locals for great seafood.

The woman taking orders is quite standoffish, almost rude. She saw me come up and order with a child, and then gave me a drink with NO LID. Of course he spilled it all over the table and the floor. My bad for assuming they just didn’t have any, as the place is very minimalistic. Wrong. A nice, older woman ended up sitting next to us alone, and I saw she had a lid on her drink. I asked if she had requested a lid on her drink, and she said no. The younger girl working alongside the woman at the counter ran over to clean up, and was quite understanding and very gracious. The older woman behind the counter simply stood there looking angry (her normal face?). I just don’t understand why you would give a child obviously under the age of 5 a drink with no lid.

The $29 lobster roll was small and good, but certainly not exceptional, and had just barely enough lobster to be filling. Thank goodness it came with fries. His $9 mac-n-cheese was a helping large enough for a grown man, and again, not exceptional for the price. I just dont understand the logic.

It’s always a joy to discover a restaurant that specializes in a couple of things and does them extremely well.

Excellent, well-prepared seafood in a casual, clean environment.

For some reason, Central Florida has seemed to lack a high number of casual, locally owned, well-done seafood places. This place is doing it right.

It’s straightforward, fresh, comes out quickly, and they must have incredible air handling equipment because the place has a fresh clean smell about it.

Fried shrimp seemed a good place to start, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly light coating of a southern style cornmeal with incredibly fresh tasting butterfly shrimp underneath.

Will definitely work through the rest of the menu.

Stopped in on a total whim tonight and WOW!!!so glad I did. The clam chowder was absolutely amazing, rich and comforting, and the lobster roll was delish and PACKED. I’m talking legit lobster there was literally a whole lobster claw in it . No skimping here.
The fries and corn hush puppies are an absolute must-have don’t even think about skipping them. The atmosphere is super low-key and relaxed, exactly what I was looking for. Huge shoutout to Mike at the counter so attentive, welcoming, and just genuinely a great guy. That kind of service makes a difference.
My only regret? I ordered too much and didn’t have room for the blackened mahi or the key lime pie… but that just means I’ll be back very soon. Thank you for the wonderful food and amazing service. This spot hit the mark perfectly.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here! The staff was incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious — the grouper burger was absolutely amazing, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I had the salmon with a Caesar salad, and it was very good and nicely prepared. Everything came out fresh and well-presented. We truly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for great seafood and friendly service. We’ll be back!
