We thoroughly enjoyed our snacks and drinks, and the service was great! Yes, it’s a bit expensive, but it’s on par for the area (captive audiences on vacation).

I had seen a frozen alcoholic drink (a Strawberry Shortcake) on their online menu that wasn’t on the new summer menu and asked the bartender about it. He happily made it for me without hesitation, much to my delight! The soft pretzel bites with queso, and the loaded hummus were both very good.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing, earning it a 1-star rating. My group of four decided to take a break from the beach and have lunch here, but we encountered several issues that marred our visit. We chose to sit outside on the sun deck, where we were clearly visible to the wait staff, but it took over 10 minutes before we received menus or water. The live music being played was not only loud and obnoxious but also quite depressing and unsuitable for a beach vacation, especially for families with children. When we finally received our menus from our waitress, Sadie, we placed our orders. After a lengthy wait, most of our food arrived, but one meal was still being prepared. After another 10 minutes of waiting, I inquired about the missing dish and was told it would be just a few more minutes. Eventually, the meal arrived, but there was a mix-up, and a duplicate order was brought to our table, highlighting poor communication. The chicken sandwich and crab cake sandwich were decent but not remarkable. Unfortunately, the pizza was a major letdown—overloaded with arugula and served on a stale crust. The bill came to just over $100 for four people, excluding tip, and without any drinks. Considering the overall experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. On a positive note, the bar stays open until 10 PM, and the drinks are not half bad, so if you decide to visit, you might still enjoy a drink there.

Was staying at the attached hotel and was told the restaurant was ‘family friendly’. They are not! Came down and decided to place a to-go order. No one was there to seat/ help us so we approached the bar. After a couple minutes the supervisor ( I didn’t get to see her name but she had a bright blue shirt and a short, masculine hair style) came over and asked for our IDs. we hadn’t even placed an order yet, but she proceeded to tell me that since my two teenage boys were under 21 they couldn’t sit down and that they had to stand up. She said that I could keep sitting, but they had to stand. Mind you there was no one else at the bar area, and it was early evening so not even ‘bar’ time. She was completely rude about it and acted more like a police officer instead of a courteous hospitality worker. Once we were shoo’d away from the bar area we sat at a table. A pleasant young man helped us, but unfortunately even the food was terrible. We ordered burgers and fries, but as my kids put it, the burgers tasted like ‘fake meat’. In conclusion, Love the Princess Royale hotel but will NEVER eat at the restaurant again.

Place is very dirty. Trash from other tables flying around and no one of the employees is caring about it. After more than 5 minutes seeing trash flying around my table I had to take trash by myself to be able to have lunch.
Food is not good at all. Is like they dip the food in grease. Is not the worst food, but is expensive and you expect at least an okay food.
Very disappointed because the place that the restaurant is located is a beautiful place. And it was not for the trash, the atmosphere was going to be awesome.

Extremely Disappointing Experience
I rarely leave negative reviews, but the service during our recent visit was unacceptable. Our server was inattentive from the start — no check-in during the meal, no courtesy or warmth. What really shocked me was being interrupted before I’d even finished eating, only to have my plate taken without asking, followed by the comment, “Okay, I guess we’re done here.” I was so taken aback that I asked for the bill just to leave quietly.

The entire experience felt dismissive and unwelcoming, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being treated differently from other tables. Whether intentional or not, it left a lasting impression. I sincerely hope the management takes this as constructive feedback and ensures better training in hospitality and respect — for all guests.

Sadly this nice hotel is riddled with this horrible bar and restaurant experience. They are very rule-oriented (a strict 1 drink, per person, per ID at a time) Good luck buying your wife a drink while she’s trying to relax in a lounge chair. Drinks are weak. Convenience is the only thing keeping this place in business.

Take a long hard look at this place Princess Royale

We have been here a couple of times. The food and atmosphere was good. We liked sitting near the edge of the deck so we could look out at the beach and the ocean.

Food was okay. Staff needs training. They charge for every drink. Talking about soda. $4 a cup and it’s the little plastic cups that are loaded with ice. Essentially 3 cups is a can of soda. No where does it say charge per cup nor did anyone say it.

Hotel restaraunt. Beautiful view of the ocean but that’s it.

Busy hotel but not busy at restaraunt. Was seated by hostess at a table top. After about 10 minutes, my friend went to ask bar tender if we were supposed to order at the bar or if a server came to the table. She said I can take your order here, or did you want a server? We sat at a table, so a server would be ideal.
Another 7 minutes went by with Noone coming.
I went to the hostess stand and asked if this was normal to be seated with no server. She only said sorry and he is coming now.
The food came, and it was good. I had the fried green tomatoes caprese and a lemon drop crush(pictured).
My friend had a chicken ceaser wrap and said it was all lettuce with no dressing. Asked the server for a side of dressing, and it too took forever.
Just not a great experience.

Ocean front seating, great live music that was not too loud (the blind duo), good food and drinks, excellent service. We went for drinks- the Pina colada, electric lemonade and ended up ordering some appetizers as we were enjoying ourselves so much–chicken quesadillas, wings, and pork belly sliders. Definitely recommend!
