I reached out when I needed a birthday cake for my college kid, all the way across the country. I had some thoughts, but no real vision of what I wanted. Christine immediately reached back out with some inspiration photos and suggestions and WOW was the end result amazing!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this experience and absolutely recommend The Cupcakery for any baked goods needs.

cupcake frosting is too sweet. @staff please reset your tastebuds. it tastes like fondant. i came here twice and ordered a variety and they were all too sweet to the point of inedible except for the coffee one, because coffee is bitter already. i wanted to support because you are lgbtq friendly but i can’t stomach the sweetness.

We ordered two dozen cookies for close to $100 for a baby shower. The presentation and service given was amazing, but the cookies themselves were disgusting. While they looked pretty, they were extremely dry and bland. I would not pay $1 for these cookies, would not recommend.

My sister chose to order birthday cake from this place for a special 3 way birthday for 3 sisters. By sister lives in South Carolina so the communication was all done through email. I’m also one of the sisters and This was my 40th birthday party. She wanted to have a special cake made that incorporated all 3 of the sister’s personalities. She specifically sent her pictures and ideas that she wanted. When my sister went to pick the cake up it ended up being three separate cakes. The cake decoration was not great. It looked very mediocre and they were not anything close to what my sister had sent her in the emails. My sister called the bakery today to ask to not have a full refund but to at least have some
Money back for not getting the cake she ordered originally. A worker spoke with her (not the owner) the worker was basically being the middle man between my sister on the phone and the owner of the bakery on the phone. The worker told my sister that the owner said she can’t do cash back but do a gift card instead. My sister doesn’t even live in this state so that’s useless. My sister then asked to just speak with the owner instead to make it easier and the worker said she couldn’t because she was busy. This is very unprofessional. When you have a business your main priority should be pleasing customers. My sister should have got a full refund in my opinion as she did

It was a pleasant surprise when I requested a salad that wasn’t on the menu, and they told me to order whatever I wanted! The fact that they were willing to custom-make something for me was awesome. They made me the freshest salad with chopped buffalo chicken on top! The veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the chicken was the perfect finishing touch!
You must try the new quenchers as well! My favorite is the Strawberry & Pineapple with a sparkling water base. It’s perfect! I’ve always struggled to find a place in L/A that makes more than just your average salad, but the cupcakery hits it out of the park every time!

Amanda was wonderful to work with. She responded to my custom order request quickly and helped me make a decision. I loved the way the cupcakes turned out. My daughter really liked the “22” in cupcakes decorated like pink and white flowers. It was a very pretty and unique birthday treat!

Our cake looked absolutely stunning! Prior to our wedding, we sent photos of what we were looking for and The Cupcakery perfected it. We love that they offered gluten- and lactose-free options. We selected a different flavor for each layer, which was well received. Our guests enjoyed it and went back for seconds because, in the end, every piece of cake was consumed. We can’t wait to have the top tier for our anniversary!
