it’s a gas station deli situated at a busy intersection of 108 to Stowe and route 15. It’s an institution of sorts renowned for its prepared and custom made sandwiches, wonderful pastries and about everything one might need in food and drink from a country store. My addiction with the Cupboard began with the tastiest smoked bacon in my turkey sub along with red onions. Waiting in line before me,people are buying every kind of prepared wraps at a reasonable price. Adjacent to the Cupboard is their seasonal home made ice cream bar that closes in the early fall.
Ownership of the Cupboard has changed approximately a year ago. I am monitoring changes to see if there is any changes . Apart from a few country flies that are forgiveable because the front door opens and closes with sustained gusto, there are few.
Bravo to the new immigrant ownership that is committed to hard work and respectability.
Take out only.

This place was really busy. I ordered mustard on my sandwich and both pieces of bread had at least half an inch thick of mustard. I scraped off as much as I could. The bread was very good and I was very disappointed that it just tasted like mustard.

We always come here for the sandwiches and usually leave with a few snacks as well. We tried the creemees for the first time yesterday and they were fantastic! The pups got their own cups and the brownie sundae was delicious!

The Cupboard Deli is a wonderful little shop right at the crossroads in Jeffersonville. They have good creemees (some of the better creemees I’ve tried in Vermont) at very reasonable prices, hard ice cream, and then inside a whole selection of baked goods, to-go food and freshly-made sandwiches and more! It’s your good old classic gas station/convenience store/ice cream shop, but with a Vermont twist, so it just feels indescribably better than in other states. The staff is always very friendly, they have some excellent food options (perfect for a quick meal on the go or for a hike/bike ride/kayak trip), and it’s conveniently located along the way to Smugglers’ Notch! Whenever we are on our way to the resort each summer, we always stop by The Cupboard for a creemee (chocolate Nor’easter with Heath Bar or Snickers is always the go-to order), get some snacks, some food to-go, and…ask if they have their maple bread.

WHERE IS THE MAPLE BREAD?! That’s the only thing I wish they still had. They used to have this big beautiful loaf of bread with a maple sugar crust – you’d cook it on a pan and it was HEAVEN. I hope they bring it back to be a regular thing in-store!!

I noticed a difference since there’s new owners. They don’t really Care as much. Once I came for the donuts they said they didn’t have any and it was only 11 in the morning. And I found that strange. They just refuse to make more even though there was the rest of the day where they could have been selling them. And I bought one today but it was very dry not the way it used to be. There doesn’t seem to be the same care put into it with the new owners. Just my opinion

I called in an order with added waffle fries. When I went To pay he just brought out a sandwich, and I asked him if fries were included, He said yes. After I paid, i asked about the fries again & he told me they just didn’t make the fries, His attitude was like oh well. This all happened in about a minute, the guy behind the counter is completely useless. This customer service is seriously lacking.

Old staff used to be great new staff making food is terribly rude and give nasty looks Definitely made my boyfriend and I extremely uncomfortable. The food is still the same but if you want to avoid the teenage girl attitude and chit chatting instead of working call to place an order (that’s if they even pick up, which they did not with my own personal phone call or any of the phone calls that came in while we waited the 30 minutes to place our order and get our food) 9/1/2025 @3:30-4 pm don’t let staff ruin your business management!!!

Great little spot down the street from Smugglers Notch. They have anything you can get at a gas station ⛽️ plus a deli with delicious wraps and sides. Donuts and pastries made in house. They even found my friends wallet and messaged her on Facebook to let her know! Definitely will be back!
