Not authentic Cuban place, “Cafe con leche” is just “Cuban coffee” made in a drip coffee pot with milk added in. Croquettes taste like a frozen brand that you can find in the supermarket and make at home.
Definitely didn’t feel anything “Cuban” about this place.
Only had coffee and croquettes so good luck trying out the food on your own.

Service was friendly and welcoming, but the Cuban sandwich was very disappointing. It had way too much mustard, no pork, and the cold cuts had an unpleasant taste and smell. I would have returned it if I hadn’t been at work on my first day. This place used to be great years ago, but the food quality is no longer what it once was.

I asked for the manager.
She said there is no manager to receive the complaint.
She asked another lady to attend me.
I think is a very disrespectful way to serve a costumer.
I will never go back to this place.

I had high hopes after hearing this place was still open. They need to clean the friers and/or the fry oil. The place wreaked of old, burnt, frier oil. The atmosphere is like the food, something you’d expect in a cafeteria. The yellow rice is describing its color, not the flavor or consistency. The black beans’ taste & consistency are similar to diluted canned beans. The Medianoche is the same cold cut cuban sandwich on sweet bread. This is nowhere near traditional Cuban cooking.

At 11 am on a Saturday, it took at least 20 minutes after ordering to be served. My wife’s eggs and corned beef hash were fine. My chest omelette was bland, and the slices of cheese placed in the omelette were completely unmelted.

Been going there for about 20 years. Since we moved from Tampa we’re not able to go as often, but we always go when we’re in town to have breakfast or cuban sandwiches. Love the food, the servers are always great and the price is far and away better than the big chain restaurants.

I used to live in Tampa in the late 90s/early 00s and came here all the time. Came back to visit the area today and the first place I stopped is The Cuban Sandwich Shop. It’s literally the thing I miss most about living by in Tampa. The roast pork is my fav and years later, it still is. The Cuban sandwiches are delightful, as well. Honestly, I’ve not been disappointed with any food I’ve ordered here ever.

Honestly the worst Cuban sandwich I have ever had. Two large sandwiches $21.00. Each half of sandwich had half a slice of salami and one slice of pickle. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here for a sandwich.

Staff was friendly. We came on a Saturday at lunchtime it wasn’t too busy. We got our food pretty quickly. There was only one waitress working the dining room. My husband got a cuban and I got a ham and turkey sandwich. Husband loved his cuban. For me my sandwich was ok, nothing special or wowing.
