Imaginative, high-end cuisine combining French & Italian influences in tasting menus or à la carte.

Came here to celebrate a promotion with my wife and some friends and the food was incredible! We each did the chef’s grand tasting menu which included 8 courses for $150 per person. I would highly recommend! Enjoyed the food, the service was impeccable, and the lengths the chefs went to make sure we enjoyed our stay.
The only thing that would have improved the stay was having some light background music for ambiance, but otherwise, this was an excellent choice, and I look forward to dining here again down the road!

The Crossing offers a refined, elegant atmosphere with attentive, polished service. The ambience is unquestionably one of its strongest points. The food is solid and competently executed, but predictable and not particularly memorable or surprising. Unfortunately, the New Year’s Eve pricing felt significantly inflated relative to the overall dining experience, making it difficult to justify the cost despite the excellent setting and service

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely the most disappointing fine dining experience I’ve had!
We made a reservation to celebrate Valentine’s Day, fully expecting to enjoy the restaurant’s regular Premium menu at $85/ person. When we arrived, we were informed that the only option available was a special Valentine’s fixed price menu for $175/ person. The menu itself was strikingly similar to the regular one, which made the $100 increase per person feel hard to justify. We had booked online in advance and only later noticed the Valentine’s pricing mentioned in fine print in the confirmation email—by then, it was too late. There was no alternative menu offered, and with a $75 cancellation fee in place, we were effectively LOCKED IN.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the price point. The four-course meal was served cold, portions were small, and the service felt slow and unenthusiastic.
What surprised us most was that after we left, our server FOLLOWED US TO OUR CAR to ask why we hadn’t left gratuity. For a $400 meal for two that felt average at best, this was incredibly uncomfortable and disappointing.
We came in excited to celebrate, but left feeling frustrated and undervalued. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Our server was kind, attentive, and helped make the evening feel special without ever feeling rushed.
The food was exceptional. We selected the four course meal, and every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The crème brûlée was easily one of the best I have ever had and the perfect ending to the meal.
The restaurant itself is small and charming, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The entire staff made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout the night.
We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!

On a cold Friday night, three tired people poured into the Crossing. I am so glad we did, because the warmth of welcome, delicious food, and delightful atmosphere restored us. They have an a la carte menu and a tasting menu, but we were told, by our delightful waiter, we could order from any part of the menu. We had appetizers of beet salad, crab cake, and delicious tagliolini with chanterelles. For main courses, scallops, pasta bolognese – again, delicious. We did not have dessert because we could not eat another bite.
The chefs and service staff are clearly beautifully trained, and I thank all of them for such a delicious and delightful evening.

One of the very best dining experiences I’ve ever had! We enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing and every single course was full of flavor and unique in some way. It was our first time eating here, so it was such a great way to try many of their menu favorites. And I loved that they didn’t bring us both the same thing for each course, allowing us to try even more! The wines were paired perfectly, too. Our server was also fantastic. Can’t wait to eat here again!

Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful service. I was having a hard time of reservation on an opentable website for my second visit. Restaurant manager make it posible for me. First time I’m making my own buffet and the second time, Joseph has been awesome with the chill soup wich is I didn’t like, and he wants to make his customers satisfaction by offering me an Octopus dish! The food portion is very acceptable for your stomach from appetizers to dessert.

Had a wonderful lunch at The Crossing in Clayton. The cheesy focaccia bread? Absolute sin—so good! I went with the halibut special, and let me tell you, it’s #stlouispescatarianapproved. Perfectly cooked, tender, and just the right portion size. The service was top-notch—super attentive without being overbearing. The place has a classy vibe with white tablecloths and a beautiful bar. Bonus: easy street parking! Perfect for a casual but elevated lunch experience. Definitely worth a visit!

This experience is in the top five best meals I’ve ever had. We tried the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Every single item brought to our table was delicious and beautifully plated.
Try the 100 years of port as well, so delicious. Great espresso, lovely atmosphere and fantastic service. This is what fine dining is and they execute it so well.
The blue cheese souffle is to die for as well.

We had such a wonderful evening here on a very busy Friday night. The food was excellent, and our server, Joshua, was extremely helpful and pleasant. He explained the menu flawlessly and answered all of our questions, even down to where one of the mushrooms came from! The food and hospitality were truly top notch. We will be back soon!
