Great place for lunch. The owners were welcoming and I could tell they take great pride in serving others and making them feel at home. The gentleman thanked me for my service (Air Force t-shirt) and the lady was very sweet. I ordered the fish sandwich with onions and tomatoes and a side of fries with blue Kool-Aid. Loved it. There is a good variety of homemade pastries on display at the front counter which includes cookies, peach cobbler, and cupcakes. There were a few people who came in after me and one was apparently a regular, who was greeted by name, and the other was a new customer and they both were glad to be at the right place at the right time. I also ordered the Valentine-themed strawberry shortcake cupcake as well as the turtle (chocolate and caramel) cupcake and pleasantly enjoyed both, particularly the turtle. Also, the oldies R & B songs playing were a very nice touch. I will definitely visit again when I am in Indianapolis. The product doesn’t make the business, the people do and there are some great people at this establishment, both employees and customers. Highly recommend. P.S. I saw a flyer for a gentleman named KissGang Relly with his album “A Way With Words” which gave me some great music to listen to on the drive home. ;O)
