This place was nothing short of amazing, the food and the history (still want to see the basement which, from what I hear, carries significant weight in a pivotal moment in history). I had the Roast Duck dinner, I forced myself to eat slow to savor the amazing meal that was bestowed upon me. Tender, great flavor, washed that down with mashed potatoes and nummy vegetables. Wish I had time to check out more, as well as the liquor store in the back. Awesome place!

We were able to get a table even with the private event that was going on. Our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive and made sure hubby and were comfortable. The drinks and appetizer arrived in a reasonable time. We had to wait a little for our entrees (Blackened Shrimp/Chicken and Grilled Pork Chops), but it was understandable and definitely worth it.
We took home Brownies and Vanilla Ice Cream. Oh my goodness, the brownie was like eating fudge. So wonderful. Thankful that he gave us two pieces, cause I would have not had enough for two. Hubby loved MY dessert.
We recommend if you are in the area to stop in. Next time we are trying the bar!

We had our family party at the Inn. The staff were attentive and kept us informed of any details. Very helpful with set up as well. Kim was easy to reach to reserve the room and helpful with suggestions regarding room size and food choice. We will dine here anytime. Thank you to all staff.

Old Meets New! I’ve waited to do this review. The “Inn” as locals call it is under new ownership. My family went on Mother’s Day, service was a little slow, but the food made it worth the wait. We went again for a birthday and graduation combination yesterday. Prices are what you would expect from a higher-end eatery. Food was fantastic both times. Appetizers were awesome! My favorite, shrimp wrapped in bacon. (The dipping sauce is like nothing I’ve ever tasted.) I had the classic turkey dinner, so much food and the stuffing was perfect. Rack of lamb, perfect! All the entrees were delicious. Service this time was, very good and well timed. Just enough time between courses to chat and let food settle. The bar is very welcoming and the bartenders are great. The actual bar is much larger and now modern, I miss the antique classic look and feel of the old bar. The owners are often on site and have brought in a Trivia Night and Comedy Night. We will be returning. I look forward to the Cranbury Inn being the local social destination!

Thanksgiving dinner. First time out to dinner with the family in the Cranberry Inn. The service was slow but was to be expected on a holiday. It was very cold in the restaurant and when we mentioned it, we were told that the boiler was old and there was nothing that could be done. The big fireplace was also inoperative. We were told that the last time it was used, the place filled up with smoke. Ok, so we sat there freezing. We asked for coffee just to keep warm. When the entrees finally arrived, the two Turkey entrees were supposed to come with two sides on the table. We ordered Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. We got mac and cheese and carrots and peas. When we asked where the sweet potatoes were, we were told they ran out. Now already aggravated that we were freezing, our order was changed. At this point, we decided to take our desert home with us. Why would a restaurant of this caliber not have heat ? It shouldn’t have been. We really couldn’t enjoy the meal. It was like eating outside .

Good food! Great atmosphere! The history behind the place is pretty cool and the things to look at are even better. A lot of history! The service on the other hand needs improvement. On this day we decided to eat here, there were 4 bartenders and it one them about 5-10 mins to acknowledge us. We finished the first beer and took another 5-10 mins before they took our food order. Other then that, the place is nice!

How do you begin to review a place like this? What truly makes the Inn special are it’s staff. Friendly, kind, professional, and attentive, they really make this place shine. The food is excellent, with a great selection of options available. The historic building and number of useful spaces for any sort of event are just the icing on the cake. And the attached liquor store has a fantastic selection and prices for the area. Stop in, you won’t regret it.
