The service is very friendly, although it was slow, presumably because they cook things fresh and have a small team. The tables are bare wooden and ours had bench seats.
The poppadums and pickle tray were standard and priced well, and the samosa chat starter was very nice. Sadly my main course of Railway mutton curry was lacking any depth of flavour. Also when I ordered it I spoke to the waitress and ordered it ‘spicy’, but unfortunately it was really mild. Really really mild. As in so mild a beginner could eat it. Plus it was quite a small portion as there was a lot of gravy. The tandoori roti is heavily buttered/oiled and I prefer them dry, fresh out of the tandoor. Sadly, for me, it failed to live up to expectations. However, others in my party really enjoyed it, including their food, so people should go and make their own mind up. Bill for two with a soft drink, poppadums, a starter and a main was £50.

Been driving past for years and liked the vibes of the place, finally booked to visit last week and wow! The food is excellent! The staff were so lovely and attentive and a really nice space. The service was so speedy, the prices competitive. We loved every single thing we ordered. A lovely little independent business that deserves more recognition! I will 100% be returning!

Absolutely banging thali before a gig, great mix of vegan and veggie stuff to pick from and lovely service. Will definitely be back for a beer and a curry.

Really great tasty food. Something for everyone. We had the veggie thali which there was plenty of on the tray. Daughters had chicken biryani and chicken nuggets. Waitress was attentive and very nice. Only us there which was a shame. Toilets clean but restaurant area was a bit chilly when we arrived. Well worth a visit for the food and craft beers.

What an absolute delight! Food is fabulous! Highly recommend the Thali AND you must leave room for dessert – apple & cinnamon samosas with ice cream- a genius of an idea!
Fab venue, fab food, fab staff, fab value!

Love the Crafty Indian. Great food, great value and something for everyone from meat eaters to vegans. It’s definitely the best curry in Shipley. PLUS a great selection of craft beers, gins and good wine. They are never as busy as they should be and this makes me really sad as they are a restaurant that should be treasured by locals . The family who run it are absolutely lovely too

We ate at The Crafty Indian tonight and had the Street Thali menu, which was excellent. It was fresh, vibrant, and really good value. The mix of flavours was the best I’ve had in a long time, and everything tasted authentic. The waitress was really attentive and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend, one of the best curries and combinations of dishes we’ve had in ages!
