We frequent two other Crab Barracks locations in the area and this is our first time at this one. It was clean and accommodating though we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was fantastic! We had the boiled seafood bag with shrimp and lobster tail and corn and sausage and potatoes! We like the “medium” house mix but all the spice options are good. If you don’t like spicy, just choose the mild option. Friendly service, though the server seemed that they had to wear many hats including server, bartender, hostess, etc. We really enjoyed this place, though!!

I wanted crab legs for my birthday, and the Crab Barrack did not disappoint! our table started with drinks and the fried calamari, which was delicious. Lightly fried, not greasy, and the meat was tender, not chewy. I ordered a 1/2 pound of crab legs, a lobster tail, and added a boiled egg; all in the garlic butter sauce. It was boiled to perfection! I was able to crack the legs with my hands and pull out solid pieces of meat. The meat was tender and not at all dry. It was the same for the lobster tail. The others at the table ordered fried okra, shrimp, and fish. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back!!

Service was about average, and the atmosphere was okay. Not many people was dining in. I know it’s a seafood place but the air was a little smelly. Lots of sitting areas and very spacious. Most importantly overall, the food made me sick.

A friend and I came here for dinner. I ordered the $25.99 all-you-can-eat sushi, which is exactly how it’s advertised on the menu. My friend ordered wings and okra.
Before my food even came out, a man who I assume is the owner or manager came to our table and asked if we were ordering sushi for two people. We explained that only I would be eating sushi. He then informed us that although the menu says “all you can eat,” I would be charged $8+ per roll for any sushi I did not finish. He also stated that I could not share any of my food, or I would be charged double the $25.99 price.
I explained that I would eat what I could and not order more than I could finish, but he insisted this policy was to prevent waste and that any uneaten rolls would be charged at regular menu price. This entire conversation happened before my food arrived and immediately made the experience uncomfortable.
I eat sushi regularly and fully expected to finish my meal. However, when we asked for the check and a to-go box, I did have part of one roll left. The same man came back, checked my plate, and asked if it was okay to charge me an additional $8 for one roll. I reluctantly agreed.
The food itself was good, but the dining experience was not. It is common knowledge that all-you-can-eat restaurants factor waste into their pricing. Advertising “all you can eat” while policing plates, hovering over customers, and charging extra for unfinished food feels misleading and borders on false advertising.
Transparency matters. If there are strict rules and penalties, they should be clearly stated upfront on the menu—not enforced through uncomfortable table-side confrontations.

The servers were friendly, however, it took 10 minutes for someone to ask me what I wanted to drink and 30 mins for someone to take my order… It was a Saturday afternoon maybe 4pm. I think maybe have more than 2 servers or the managers can at least help out (which they did, but only after 30 mins, just left the servers to struggle)
The food came out fast at least which was nice. It was extremely lemony for my taste, I would have preferred if they put the lemon on the side. The wings were good.

We came in town for a weekend sporting event. My son really wanted crab legs. We were considering a few restaurants in the area, but the employees at our hotel recommended this place. When we arrived, I’m not going to lie it was a little questionable with no one there on a Saturday night. This is prime example of never judging by the looks because this place was amazing. Hands down, the best crab legs we have ever had. That is saying alot especially with being from the coast and my spouse from Louisiana. I got the manger special with mild cajun seasoning, my spouse and son got the 2lb broken crab leg special with medium cajun seasoning that was listed on the hostess stand, and we got sushi. The service was great. I wish I got her name. She was very attentive and sweet. The restaurant did end up getting busier throughout the night. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the amount of food we got. The locals did not disappoint with this recommendation. If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely be back! 10 out of 10.

The place was empty and this should’ve been my heads up of what was to come. My server was awesome. She was polite, not knowledgeable, but sweet. We only stayed for her then quickly realized she didnt know anything about the menu then volunteered info that she has only had one thing on the menu!!! it’s says a lot when an employee won’t eat somewhere. she had genuine knowledge about a single item on the menu. The place had one table besides us and i found out why. In addition, this was the smallest “pound” of crawfish i’ve received in my life..
My food was horrible. I got the wings and a pound of crawfish. The crawfish was extremely over cooked and bland beyond belief. The wings were fried to a crisp and doused heavily in lemon pepper seasoning.
We ate one crawfish each then asked for checks. We took care of our server but will never be back. Worse crawfish ever. The fact that the building was empty now makes sense. Don’t go waste your money here. I brought the food home in an attempt to season and salvage. literally cooking on my stove and adding seasoning… but it’s about to simply go in the trash.

Their seasoning is oil based and gets into all the crevasses of the seafood. I prefer the house seasoning and just ask them to make it as spicy as you want. Highly recommend.
