We had lunch at The Covered Wagon Cafe. Our hamburgers were good, cooked properly and served with fries. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was decorated okay but has a real problem with flies inside the restaurant. We could not enjoy our meal because of constantly shewing them away.

My wife had the Denver omelet and said it was delicious. I had the special (biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs) and it was ok. Scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs and the biscuits and gravy lacked flavor and the biscuits tasted stale. If that is a thing. The coffee tasted like it had sat since yesterday (currently 10AM).
There was carpet, which seemed odd and the walls were dirty and salt or dirt on the napkin dispenser.
Would do in a pinch, but wouldn’t seek this place out.

We were looking for a good breakfast on 90, and this was just what we needed! Absolutely delicious biscuits and gravy, eggs, and french toast. The service was very friendly. Highly recommend!

A really fun stop on our trip! This diner seems to be in the middle of the south Dakota plains. The food was alright, but it was the staff that made our experience. Kevin spent about 20mi a trying to pitch us on the museum and just chitchatting with us while being absolutely hilarious. The staff make you feel welcomed, and provide a wonder experience

Our breakfast was delicious! My husband enjoyed the vegetable omelet, which was full of veggies & good amount of cheese, with hash browns & a pancake that was tasty. My husband loved it. I enjoyed two eggs, hash browns, & toast. Finally, a cook who knows how to prepare hash browns without all the oil. Our waitress was very good & nice. We stayed overnight in Murdo & decided to stop for breakfast & very happy we did!

Simple, friendly and very quick service. I love Indian fry bread so was pleased to see a taco salad using fry bread instead of a tortilla shell. Served hot and fresh. The pattymelt and fries were good too.

I am super picky when it comes to food with flavor and quality, I had the cheese curds, Buffalo burger, fries, and homeade cherry cobbler for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing. And my server was so kind! Deserves way more then 5 stars

Great place, been coming in here for years. Last year it was taken over by new management and they are awesome. The waitresses are the best, but watch out for the locals, haha.

Some of the best midwestern food I’ve ever had. I had the Hot Hamburger and the Mashed potatoes and their veggies, and it was AMAZING. The other person ordered the buffalo burger and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. The coffee was actually good, not watered down. This place is AMAZING and I think they deserve your business! SO GOOD.

Went there today on our way across the state. Usually we have good service and decent food. Today when we walked into a mostly empty restaurant, we took a seat and the waitress tossed menus at us and walked away. She never came back but looked like she was drawing on a notepad up by the kitchen. She brought food to the table of 5 near us, then looked right at us and walked away. No drinknorders no asking us if we were ready to order. After 10-15 minutes of waiting, we walked out. We won’t be back.
