Food is excellent considering it is very simple dishes. Always fresh, hot, and consistent. I especially enjoy the Bulgogi Burger, and the Maui Burger. The owner, James, is always friendly and attentive. It’s definitely a go-to for pick up on the way home. Small building with very basic layout more of a eat at the house than sit and dine place.

For delivery: Today my husband and I ordered a cross-section of five meats available on the Cove Platter: Chicken, spicy chicken, shrimp, beef, and beef short ribs (Kalbi), served with steamed veggies, steamed rice and macaroni salad.
Both of us give the shrimp our highest rating because it looks, smells and tastes fresh and flavorful. We highly recommend the shrimp!
The chicken and the spicy chicken were good, presented as bite-sized pieces that were cooked thoroughly without being over done. “Spicy” is indeed spicy, so I am happy that we were able to mix in ordinary chicken to tone down the flavor.
Both of the beef selections were somewhat disappointing because they were nothing special.
The steamed vegetables are first-class! We highly recommend these carrots and broccoli florets because they were fresh, crisp, and evenly steamed. The steamed rice is excellent, too. Their macaroni salad is remarkable because it has a piquant dressing that is unusual, mild and very appealing. We highly recommend all three.
The sauce for the fried dumplings — delivered in a Styrofoam box with holes carefully poked in the top to let steam escape — made these dumplings be outstanding. All of the sauces were great!
Bottom line — The Cove has earned our highest recommendation! We will happily order from them again!

Such a good place! Food was amazing. Highly suggest the spice chicken, kalbi and the katsu. This was our first time here, but we were so impressed we decided to get take out for lunch tomorrow. We went during a slow time in the middle of the afternoon, so it gave us a chance to take to the owner. What a wonderful person! Can’t wait until the next time I can come back.

Wow, did this place remind us of our time in Maui. Everywhere we travel to, we look for a good Hawaiian BBQ, and this did not disappoint. I got the bowl with spicy pork and Spam, and my partner got the mixed plate with bulgogi, short ribs, and katsu. Everything was perfection, especially the pork and short ribs. The service was very good too. No complaints, can’t wait to come back again next time we’re in Baton Rouge.

I got the two meat platter with kalbi & spicy chicken and the steamed rice & mac salad as sides. Everything was AMAZING and both meats were perfectly seasoned and tender. Although this will be my favorite, I want to try other things on the menu! Great food and great service!

Got the 2-meat platter with short rib and katsu. It was so delicious! The macaroni salad flavor didn’t really match with the sweetness of the 2 meats, but it was still good! No complaints about the platter, it was satisfying.
The bulgogi fries on the hand, were absolutely atrocious, I’m not sure if I want to take 1 or 2 stars off for it.
It was unsalted fries with a bit of bulgogi and cheese slapped on top… And then microwaved so that the cheese melts. That’s it. I would’ve expected better for $7. Just sharp cheddar did not taste good on top of the bulgogi.
