I was staying at a bed & breakfast just 5 min away, and they had suggested to check out The Cotter Pin. So glad I decided to stop in for dinner. Everything from the food to the service was above and beyond. I ordered pretzel bites as an appetizer & the bacon mac n cheese for food. Beer was a Blue Moon, so that was just as expected. I enjoyed the flavor of the food and freshness. Everything came out quickly as well and was nice and hot. I was in on Sunday Night, and it wasn’t too busy. I sat at the bar, watched football and enjoyed conversation with the bartender. I think his name was Michael. He did a fantastic job. I felt welcome, even though I wasn’t a local. That was pretty cool since a few other places I went on this trip didnt have as friendly vibes. I highly recommend this place! Hope to stop back by next time I’m in the area.

We ate supper here in early September of 2025. The atmosphere was great with a country cabin feel. The food was delicious. We had a large group that ordered a wide variety of menu items. I had boneless wings in Garlic Parm sauce (no fries), it was very good. My son had bacon Mac-n-Cheese, and he loved it. Staff service and hospitality was great. There is also a small corner where small items are sold, like syrup, candles, shirts, etc.

I have been passing this place for a few years when i started traveling to Cashton. I have been curious since day one. Always en route w a plan in mind i didnt have time to stop. After seeing a facebook post last week that included a glimpse of their taps i decided to make time to stop in today, Friday. I was suspecting a Townie bar…. pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case. It is a welcoming cabin-esque vibe upon entering then you’re greeted by friendly bartenders!
They have a nice selection of spirits as well as a tap selection to please any palate. I was headed to lunch so i didnt even browse a menu. I did glance at the specials board which listed a few soup offerings and a parmasean crusted cod. I will definitely be back. Thanks Cotter Pin for a pre-lunch beer served by a friendly bartender in a welcoming setting, cheers!

Really enjoyed it! Easy parking. Excellent, friendly, and attentive service. Very good food. Games to play while we waited. Blackberry vanilla sangria was super. Queen prime rib special was very good (smoked, came with a salad, potato, green beans and bread). No fryer and no grill, but they kick out good food!

Ordered a large pizza and the dough was uncooked. Asked for extra pepperoni and got charged but barely enough for regular pepperoni. Server didn’t know what beers were available. Won’t be back again in fear of getting sick for undercooked food.

Stopped in for lunch. Love the atmosphere. Our server was great and very friendly. Food was delicious! We ordered the French dip, BLT, Chicken bacon ranch wrap. I also ordered a 16 inch take n bake pizza and cooked later that evening on a pizza stone in the oven. One if the best pizza’s we have had.

Had such a great time here!! The staff is so nice, we had great conversation as well. There were so many great choices and the seafood mac and cheese was amazing!!! Then we bought some cheese after learning how to bake cheese curds!! Great beer choices too for my husband. Such a friendly atmosphere!! When in the area, we will happily return!!!

Within minutes of each child taking their first bite they all gave big thumbs up! I had the pulled pork and it was melting in my mouth. I absolutely recommend this place!!
