Great old school diner feel.
The sausage patty was excellent — big, flavorful, and cooked just right along with eggs over medium — and the house-made salsa added a nice, fresh touch.
Unfortunately, the rest of breakfast missed the mark. The “extra crispy” bacon was extra burnt, both of the English muffin pieces were absolutely flat, and the gravy smothered the tiny biscuit so much it should be called “2 dumplings and gravy soup!”(Sorry. I’m a southerner and while the gravy is up to par, slicing the biscuit in half is not how you serve this dish.) The pancake was slightly overdone, and the fruit cup wasn’t very fresh. Nice people, but the food we tried was just not up to par. There are too many fantastic options nearby to give it another chance. Really surprised by the high ratings.
Restaurant staff are courteous & welcoming from the moment you walk in, people are kind and mindful of everyone’s personal space.
Food is good for what you pay for, prices are hard to beat.
A breakfast for two people may cost you about 25 dlls and you still will have a to go box with leftovers to take home.
The place is cozy, warm vibes, it’s been there for many many years (20yrs approximately) needs a little love if you ask me.
But yet again it’s what gives it that nice cozy vibe(although after 30 mins the flat wood booths with worn out cushions start to hurt) lol
Coffee is a light roast, creamers are usually half and half.
My personal favorite the ham&eggs with potatoes
* Scalloped potatoes ( a bit charted)
*Eggs
*Toast (well buttered)
A side bottle with fresh salsa
Very mild
My lady had the Canadian bacon , avocado & cheese omelette with House fries,
Bleu cheese on the side.
Both had coffee, they refill you constantly.
And greeting you when you first arrive with water & silverware
You pay at the cash register, where you will find a variety of candies ,mints, Mexican candy overall (brands famously found in Mexico) and a thing or two more ..
