Chef Michael and his team are the best. They have catered multiple events for me and they make the event flawless. We tell Chef Michael what the theme is and he plans the entire menu and we don’t have to worry about a thing. From set up to clean up, we are able to enjoy our friends and guests.

The Corner Cafe is OPEN!!! Fridays Only between 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. My husband and I Love Chef Michael and his homemade, very delicious soups, salads and sandwiches! Everything is always served hot and fresh in a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The Corner Cafe is our favorite place to visit in Historic Downtown Sanford.

Update: during covid they lost me as a customer. I ordered 2 cubans for pick up. When processing my payment the owner turned the screen to me for the tip. I didnt tip anything since i was picking up my food (no one brought it out to my car). The owner looked at the $0 tip and had the audacity to question me why i didnt leave any tip! He said that i needed to reconsider since the employees prepared my food and packed it and that they get paid the minimum wage!
How rude! He should pay his employees a living wage so that they dont have to depend on tips to survive!

The owner was so amazing! He took the time to explain the menu to EVERYONE who walked it with the same energy and enthusiasm. With the meal they even included a free small dessert, which i found super nice. Will def visit again!

Always a great experience at The Corner Cafe from the minute we walk in until the minute we leave! The French onion soup and the Cuban sandwich were fantastic. We also received mini complimentary desserts which were also delicious. Highly recommend stopping here for a nice afternoon in Downtown Sanford.

I came here to historic downtown Sanford for lunch before I checked in at the Auto Train. The Corner Cafe was such a delight! Free street parking right outside. I highly recommend the French onion soup and half a Cuban sandwich. I ordered it after taking the advice of another reviewer, and it definitely did not disappoint!

Quaint restaurant. Staff is very friendly and seems to know everyone, if they dont know you they make you feel like they do. I had a tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Great pairing on a cool winter day. The tomato soup is not your traditional creamy tomato soup. It’s more like a vegetable soup, tomatoes, spinach, onions, full of flavor. I was surprised with this great little cobbler dessert. It is a little pricey but big portions.
I’m excited to try an actual sandwich next time, the staff was raving about their chicken sandwich.
