The only authentic Australian meat pie hot bake on the east coast, and the original Aussie bakery in the USA helped make the Australian Bakery Cafe an instant success. As owner Mark Allen explains, it was their quest for quality that spread word quickly, “Early on we decided our goal was not just to make the best meat pies here in America, but to make sure they rival anything back home in Australia too.” In fact homesick Aussies all across America arrange travel plans just to receive a genuine taste of home. “Often people will say our product is as good, or better, than what they get back home. I reckon that’s a pretty big pat-on-the-back.”
Known for its savory pies, this spot with limited seating also carries groceries from down under.

What a cute and unique place!!! Very happy to have stumbled upon it. Staff was super friendly and lamb curry pie was yummy. The savory pastries come w fresh chips (crisps to you English lot). Lots of things to see inside the store and atmosphere is true to its name, very Aussie lol will be back for more pastries and need to take some sausage home to cook !

First time trying this place. Absolutely awesome! Bakery and little grocery story of Australian goods. They do lunch and breakfast. The food is amazing. Lots of pastries and goodies to choose from that it was hard to decide. It can get busy, so get there early for lunch! I got a breakfast wrap with potatoes. So, so good! My date loved his omelet. Prices are very reasonable. Very inviting, comfy, and happy atmosphere. Staff were super friendly. All the food is freshly made on site same day. So good! Highly recommend!

This Aussie bakery has my kiwi seal of approval. The Ned Kelly pie contains a whole entire egg and is absolutely hearty and delicious.

Delicious savory Australian pies – we had the chicken pie and the lamb curry pies and they were both perfect with flaky crust and flavorful fillings. Their chips are homemade and amazing, they make them with a garlic Parmesan seasoning that is delicious.

Wonderful lunch on the square in Marietta. Lovely day to sit outside and enjoy a pastie from this shop. My burgundy beef had a tender light crust with sesame seeds and poppy seeds on the top crust, great flavor. My husband had the steak, cheese and bacon pastie and it was also a great choice. Both served with homemade chips that were seasoned nicely, but would have been a knockout if they were fresh from the toaster.

This place offers breakfast, lunch and, dinner all day long. Customer service was good. The food is authentic. There is a section for international bakery and grocery items. The location is quaint and a little cluttered. We will definitely return to try other menu items. I had the Ned Kelly pie and my wife had the Cornish. I love the homemade breading. The hash brown potatoes were perfectly seasoned cubes.

Met these wonderful folks at the festival in Blairsville. Their food was GREAT. Got several pies, drinks, shortbread, etc. If this was from a food truck I can’t wait to get to their restaurant!!! We bought a bunch to go!!! Lived in England and Scotland for several years. Was like I was there again at the little shops in town. Warm friendly greetings by great looking ladies.
