My son and I were headed to Shiloh to look around and explore the area – and we stopped here for a late breakfast – and very glad we did. The owner was so nice – and the food was great! I had a great waffle! She had so many great omelets on the menu it was hard for my son to pick one out! I also had over easy on toast, and BIG THICK BACON – actually it was steak bacon or something. Prices were very moderate. I hope to stop in the next time I’m in the area – April I think.

A cute little place. Very cozy, homey atmosphere. Service was prompt and so sweet. Had a very nice breakfast. The coffee was hot and fresh, my omelette was perfect, and their cheese grits are life changing. If you think you don’t like grits, you just haven’t had them from here. Will definitely be back.

We found this place on Google and decided to take a chance. I’m happy we did. They offer a variety of lunchtime options, including spicy and non-spicy options (for those that cannot tolerate spicy foods due to medical reasons this is a bonus). The owner was super helpful in making suggestions and everything we ordered was delicious.

As we entered the dining area, there were 2 couples just finishing up and leaving. We took the table that no one had sat at. We couldn’t help but notice all the crumbs and specks of food from previous customers all over our table. We also took notice to the owner clearing away the plates off the other 2 tables and quickly removing the tips left behind, but saw ABSOLUTELY no changing of the table cloths nor any wiping or cleaning of ANY kind being done!! I can see NOW that we should have left at this time, but for some reason, we stayed, trying to keep a positive attitude about the uncleanliness we saw.
We ordered our drinks and the owner brought them to us, after handling her tip money and dirty dishes without washing her hands!! Our drinks were warm and we were offered no ice. Our food came out fairly fast but it was totally cold!! The bread on both burgers was stale, cracked and crumbly! The cheese was NOT melted!! Look at the pictures and judge yourself! We brought this to the attention of the owner and we got “the deer in the headlights ” look as she blurted out that she can’t see how that could happen because she grilled the burgers herself!! She asked if she could microwave them for a minute but we said no, we don’t eat microwaved food and she just walked away, shrugging her shoulders. We left, but we were decent enough to still leave her a tip.
As for the unclean tablecloths…. in this day and the times we live in with all the viruses and bacteria going around, it’s not a good practice to use real cloth on the tables. They can harbor germs for the next unsuspecting customer who comes along!!
When the owner rung up our bill, we got sticker shock!!! Almost 25.00 for cold, tasteless burgers and warm waters! Whoa!!
Bottom line….it didn’t do any good to bring these things up to the owner!! She just said how sorry she was and basically walked away. Offering not even the slightest discount for the experience we had!

I truly feel sorry for the way you “handle ” a negative but honest review. Someday, your dishonesty will catch up with you. I apologize if the negative reviews fail to placate your ego and how you tend to exaggerate your view of what REALLY happened and what was actually said. Instead of looking at these situations in the eyes of a spoiled child, why don’t you try to see them as a learning experience. Like my mom always said, lies have short legs, and you won’t be able to run away from the truth on judgment day. Besides, there is a lovely diner just down the road called LEAH’S COUNTRY SIDE DINER great, hot food!! Tasty and delicious!!! 1/2 the price!!! Great service!! And they WIPE THEIR TABLES OFF after every customer!!We will be happy to spread the word! Have a good rest of your day.

Me and my husband were on a trip all the way from Missouri exploring local roads on the motorcycle. We were a bit lost and decided to stop for lunch. We had the most amazing food some of the best that we have had on our whole trip! My husband had a smoked salmon omelette and I had a Turkey panini with the most wonderful side of cheese grits. The owner was so kind and even helped us get back on track to some beautiful backroads that we could enjoy on the bike! Also and the biggest highlight was the cheesecake the absolute best I have ever had!
