My friend and I decided to give this place a shot as it looked promising. I will say that I feel semi guilty writing this because our server was super nice and I could tell she tried, but the experience was a let down. To start when I sat down, I joined my friend who got there first. A couple of staff walked by us and nobody even offered me an additional menu. Instead, we both huddled around the same menu and picked what we wanted to order which was not very appealing. It would have been easy for anyone walking by to offer a menu to the customer with nothing in front of him; one could say I should have asked, but really I was not trying to get up and call somebody over right when I sat down. After the few staff acknowledged me, it was way too long before our server came to our table. I even set a timer and said they have 5 more minutes before I get up and ask for service, thankfully they beat the buzzer but not by mutch. Our server apologized as she knew it was too long of a wait which I appreciate. We started off with the quesadilla which was pretty good. I do not recall if there was an option to add a protein to it, but I would have ordered some beef or chicken in it if that was an option. The cheese was good and my friend enjoyed it as well. The main course is where my experience took a bit of a dip. I ordered the pulled pork platter which I admit was dumb. This is a bar, I should have gone with my gut and ordered a burger or sandwich of some sort. Instead I took the bait and tried something that I would normally get at a smokehouse BBQ, and it was the most disappointing pork I had all year. It was slathered in BBQ sauce way too sweet, and not even tender. It was even kind of chewy and did not melt in the mouth the way pork should. It had a funky taste as if I was just eating the BBQ sauce as it completely masked the meat. I am not proud to say this, but I could not even finish my food. I will add that their sides were much better than the meat, but that is not enough of a redeeming factor. I tried mixing the mac and cheese with the pork to give it some life, but the funky taste did not go away. One factor I really liked was that this place offered free soda refills. Our server brought me like 4 rounds of diet coke which was greatly appreciated. I was able to at least enjoy my drink without worrying about any up charge so this place does that right. The main portion of my dish was just sub par and I can not recommend it. Aside from the mac and cheese, the fries were definitely good as well. If you stop by, I highly advise staying away from the pork and just get bar food. Nice job on the sides and free refills, but the experience itself was just subpar. I can’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant and was not offered an additional menu when joining a table. It has also been a while since my table was ignored this long at any restaurant. If the place was packed, I would understand but this was a not so busy week night. Based on what I see, this place has the potential to score higher, but I can only review my experience alone which was disappointing; even if I made the mistake in ordering the wrong thing.

Having never come here to have a cocktail or two, I’m absolutely now under the impression that this is a place to drink at, not eat at. Sometimes “bar first’ food can be pretty decent (Star Tavern in Orange, NJ comes to mind), but this is unfortunately not that. Any calories I consume here in the future will be sipped.
I ordered lunch for pickup this past Thursday. It was a cold and rainy afternoon so something carby in the pasta family seemed appealing. I opted for the Sizzling Shrimp Pasta ($18.99), which featured penne pasta (one of my faves) in creamy garlic sauce with what was identified as “toasted French bread.” The pasta itself was okay – cooked decently and while the sauce was predictably on the heavy side, also okay. I ate about half the dish, including the shrimp (a little sparse but honestly I can’t remember the last time I thought a shrimp pasta dish didn’t go cheap on the shrimp – the star is always the pasta whether you like it or not). Would I get it again based on that? Eh. Probably not, especially with the higher price point, which would be competitive if the dish itself was a better overall quality but even with my limited experience in this area I know I can get better bang for my buck. And while I did put the leftovers in the fridge, I wasn’t interested in eating it the next day.
The so-called French bread was literally the worst bread accompaniment I’ve ever had. Not an exaggeration. Based on appearance, they seemed to be going for kind of a garlic bread vibe with the seasoning. The bread itself was incredibly stale – it tasted like it was a week old, if not older. I had a co-worker sample it, who immediately agreed with me. The top had a little bit of flavoring but the bottom was completely neglected (didn’t even seem toasted, which is bizarre) so most of your bite was just plain stale bread. The only positive is that it was so unappealing that I only wasted the calories on the single bite. Huge miss.
The only positive (and some would argue this is more important than the food quality – debatable) was that my brief interaction with two staffers when I came to pick up the food was very pleasant. There was a young woman behind the bar who was cheerful and addressed me by name (they had it from the pick-up order), which I always think is a classy, professional touch that doesn’t happen enough, and the fellow from the back who gave me my order and handled the financial transaction was chipper as well. I’d consider at least coming back for a drink based on that one- or two-minute exchange, so they’re at least hiring good people service-wise. I honestly can’t say the same though for the kitchen area.

For a Pub, the food is good, drinks are on spot. Always play great music from all genres. The bathrooms are clean and the Pub always has a nice cool
Vibe.

Went for lunch after golf. Foot was good. The shrimp wrap was really good. $14 was a great value too with a side and drink. The pizza was tasty but for $15 it was small. Wish it was a bit bigger. Server was attentive and kind. Good place to go get food.

Combination gastro pub, sports bar, neighborhood bar mixed with a small touch of dive bar… but done right. Wings are dope. Crispy how I like them. Great beer selection. Friendly staff. Perfect for after work when you need to unwind and watch a game.
