The two coney dog basket was awesome. The fries are really good, and the dogs are delicious. The BBQ chicken sandwich was ok, but nothing to write home about. The staff are very friendly. There is limited seating inside which was fine since most of the business was for carry out orders. I would go back and try their chicken dinners. Prices are very reasonable.

Loved this place and the food so much that we brought our family back! The chicken was seasoned and cooked beautifully, so juicy down to the last bite. The burgers and sandwiches were so tasty, I could have eaten several! We will definitely continue to come back and sample more of the menu.

From the moment I pulled up I knew it was going to be a delight! Boy was I right!! The young man behind the counter even did a calculation for me to figure out the least expensive option for what I wanted…. who does that… that guy!!!! Initially I was like, what no sauce, then bit into the chicken and OMG !!!! Literally to die for It didn’t need any sauce whatsoever. I also got the ribs since it was their Thursday special. The ribs were a little over sauced but I’m just weird and don’t a lot. The BBQ sauce was great and the ribs were cooked very well. I also tried the Mac n cheese bites which were too sour for but pricey for what you get. Only 10 minutes from home is going to be bad for me , I’ll DEFINITELY be back!!!!

Amazing food. Everything is made after you order it. The chicken and ribs were very good. The mashed potatoes were instant. But you don’t go there for the mashed potatoes it’s for the meat. Best to call ahead your order so you don’t have to wait. The staff was very friendly. We dined in but would call and do takeout next time.

The Coop is a family owned and operated treasure to fried chicken fandom. With that being said, the restaurant opened in 1963 (pre Beatles coming to the U.S.) continues to this day to serve up great fried chicken with a side of great customer service.

Great fried chicken and great vibe. The Coop has been around for a long time making It a very well known place to those that live in the area. You can’t go here and not get the chicken dinners with mashed potato and coleslaw.

Loved this! My husband went here alot as a kid and since we were in the area he had to go relive some memories. The chicken was perfectly done, not dry, and these are now my most favorite fries around! Very small dining area, but since we don’t live in the area we had to dine it. If I lived closer, we would definitely visit more often!

I’ve been supporting this restaurant on and off over the Covid time because I like their fried chicken dinner meals. I’ve never tried anything else and I guess I am missing out on the onion rings! I usually order the 12 piece dinner deal because I want the left overs! (reduced price on Mondays and Tuesdays) Their chicken tastes great as it has for years. I have a little bit of a drive to pick it up but I don’t mind. The only thing missing was the butter for the buns and the napkins! I guess I did see the napkins in the lobby so I could have picked them up myself. The price for this deal was $43.00 which included two pieces of carrot cake for dessert. Do not miss this cake if you like carrot cake! This time we tried the potato wedges and they were great. We usually request no salt added fries. This might be a little expensive for our dining budget but these days prices are going up. Don’t forget to leave a good cash tip in the bucket by the carry out credit card payment area. ($5 only buys one gallon of gas!)

This place is a local treasure, and has been around longer than I have. I have been a part of South Saint Paul for 30 years, The Coop has always been a part of my life. I have eaten here and still eat here it brings back great memories of old times with family members because our Roots Run Deep And The Coop is always been there.
