My boyfriend and I had a leisurely dinner at this restaurant last Saturday evening. We had a really great time. We got there early to sit at the bar and enjoy raw oysters before our 530 reservation. We were shocked that there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Especially when the surrounding restaurants were packed at this hour. By 6pm though every table was full. Perhaps the happy hour crowd has yet to find this gem. I have to say they dont have much signage so perhaps this is a local secret for now. This is a super cute restaurant, decorated very well. The food was fantastic! We had raw oysters, the duck burger, shrimp cocktail, and creme brulee with vanilla ice cream. The service was also very good. The reason for my 4 stars vs 5 is because there were several items on the menu that we would have ordered but they were out. Also, they have a very small beer selection. This did not keep us from having a great evening, we will be back!

Excellent lunch experience in regards to both food and service. I ordered the 1/2 dozen of baked oysters, cream of asparagus soup, and a mixed greens salad. The oysters were perfect – I wish we had ordered a larger size because of their deliciousness. The topping wasn’t listed on the menu but I believe it was cream, yummy cheese, a slice of mushroom, and shallot. The asparagus soup was equally rich and delicious. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for some upscale dining that really hits the spot, this is where you want to go. Though they specialize in seafood, they also have some very good other apateizer and entree options. The decor has a minimalist beachy vibe and is very bright/well lit. I also like that this restaurant is not a chain.

Friendly, attentive service!!! Fun cocktail options and lots of seafood options. Not a large entree menu, but options seem to be carefully curated so that they all taste amazing.

Unique dishes with food cooked very nice. Portion size is on the smaller size, but still good value. Service is top notch. Ambience and layout is very comfortable and open. Management presence ensures a great meal. Bar has excellent cocktails, with local/semi-local craft brews.

We stopped in for a quick drink. The staff is super friendly and this place looks amazing. Such an upgrade from the former establishment.
The oysters were fresh and excellently prepared. I wish we had more time to stay here for a meal. Next time I’m in town I would definitely have to have dinner here.

Before going, someone suggested that it’s a restaurant that’s trying to be fancy and high end, but it’s not. We went there, and that pretty much sums it up. The wine selection is okay. The waitress was no help in it. She said the buyer was over there but she would not get him for us because he was “busy”. The menu rotates for fresh ingredients, which is great. However, the food came out (for a table of 4) either fresh off the grill or sitting on the pass for at least 10 minutes. Each coarse was like that. The salads were fresh or soggy. The steaks were over cooked by 15 degrees. The purees were filmed over (from sitting). The duck was fresh off and good. All in all, it could have been good, but they lack. Too bad. Doubt we’ll return for there are many better options available.

We’ve been twice and have loved it. Even though the menu doesn’t mention vegan or vegetarian, just mention it to your server and give the chef free rein. She is incredibly talented.

If the meat is as good as the vegetables, carnivores will love this place, also.

We had the the All Day Saturday special. $1 dollar raw oysters. They had several different types to choose from. They are more then happy to mix them if you prefer. The cocktail sauce is nice and they have fresh horseradish to kick it up. They also have two other vinegar based dippers. One of which was lemon and Ip really enjoyed it. The seating out front patio/sidewalk was great on this spring day. Staff very friendly and helpful. BONUS free parking across the street.

The food and service were great. Our server was attentive but didn’t hover. The noise level was pretty good (started out quiet at 615 when we sat down but was getting a bit loud when we left at 815). The pace of dinner was very good (I never felt rushed and there weren’t any long waits for food to come out).
The menu is a bit limited if you don’t like shellfish or eat beef, but what I had (seasonal salad, cheese plate, fish, and creme brulee) was excellent. Portions were just right, the salad was dressed well, and the skin on the fish was nice and crispy.
Foode is still my favorite downtown spot for dinner, but The Confident Rabbit isn’t far behind. We’ll definitely be adding them to the date night rotation.
