Tasty BBQ combines excellent customer service to produce a superb, casual dining experience just off the fabled Indianola town square. I love the barbeque scent inside. I enjoyed my loaded baked potato, the jalapeño cream corn, steak fries, and their homemade BBQ sauces. Thanks to Amber and Ryan for making this a positive visit.

Wanted to support a new place in Indianola. We admittedly showed up 45 minutes to close on a Thursday. There was no one else there and they looked like they were cleaning, but there was still food in the warmer. And I always figure that places will want the business. What I can only assume is the owner doesn’t greet us. I spoke first and asked if they were closing and he grumbles, “it’s ok I guess.” I offered nicely that we could go somewhere else and he said, “no, I said it’s fine. I’m just dealing with a lot of disasters and I don’t know where the hell my help disappeared too.” Not exactly the most welcoming encounter for the first impression. We asked if we could eat there and he said “sure” but then packed it all up to go. So we ate in the car. The food was okay. Meat was dry and Mac and cheese had no taste. Ribeye sandwich was good.

Haven’t had bbq this good in a long time. The jalapeño Cream corn was outstanding too. You can tell they take pride in their work. Food came out fast too

The owner, was outside as I just parked we talked he gavee a tour.
Very nice and cozy seating. Enough seating for a large family
Will I recommend the Cobssesion stand, I already have.
A lot of food for the money, has creations never heard of before. I am impressed will be a repeat customer.
The staff ask about the taste of your food. I am glad finally stopped in !!

Cool place, very dry, HORRIBLE “BBQ” they dont make a home made BBQ sauce which tells me they dont take pride in their meat or the way its cooked.
This place has one of the best pickles ive ever had.

The service and atmosphere were good. I had the brisket and it was awful. It looked like it was steamed and not smoked. The meat was white in color and also about 80 percent fat. My wife had the nachos and my daughter had the mac and cheese and they both enjoyed their food. Giving three stars overall but avoid the brisket in my opinion.

The brisket was chopped up and dry, pulled chicken was very salty. I got 3 ribs and there wasn’t any meat on them and what was there was very dry. The sides were good!
I feel like if you are going to eat here,do it early in the day, We got our food about 5pm. (I will change review next time I get to try the meat when it is fresher)
The total with tip for family of 3 was $89

Burnt ends were not what we expected. Cubed beef and not true to what they should be. Smoker chicken was decent. Small cup of baked beans and the home made chips were chewy. Ordered to go. The atmosphere was nice inside and the fresh squeezed lemonade was the best part. Not a fan of the spicy pickle

Just had it for the first time with my wife and kid. Food was amazing! Got a little bit of everything to try and ordered more to take home for later! Even better than the food was the employees working! It’s rare to go to places and get excellent customer service and the feeling that the employees actually enjoy their job! 10 out of 10 would recommend!
