This is the cutest little shop and I wanted so bad to enjoy the coffee, especially after I discovered they roast their own beans. I consider myself a craft coffee connoisseur, so this review is simply based on my opinion. I ordered a black cold brew and it had a very “concentrated” taste to it, almost like it was made from a concentrate. Someone in my party ordered a regular drip/brewed coffee and it was very weak. Another person in my party ordered a frappe, and it tasted like a vanilla milkshake (no coffee flavor, no white mocha flavor). Our last person ordered a strawberry smoothie and I have to say that was the best drink we received. The service was good, quick, friendly. The environment/atmosphere was calm, chic, great vibes.

It was morning, or near enough, when we found ourselves in The Coffee House in Atmore, Alabama—a town that leans gentle into the day like a porch swing in early spring. The sky was soft with cloud and promise, and we stepped inside not looking for caffeine so much as communion, not a jolt but a joining—of quiet, of kindness, of the steam that rises off a fresh cup and carries with it the breath of something holy.

The place was small but not tight. It held you. Wooden tables worn smooth by elbows and time, walls that bore witness to stories and second chances, and a hush—not of silence, but of calm. That hush that comes when people are doing what they’re meant to do.

We ordered—coffees, sure, rich and roasted with that deep, familiar scent that reaches past the lungs and into the memory. Each cup came not as transaction, but as gesture. It was coffee that understood the assignment: warm enough to thaw the ache, strong enough to lift the weight. There was food too—muffins perhaps, or biscuits soft as prayer—but it’s not the food you remember most. It’s the feeling.

The folks behind the counter—they smiled the way only small-town people smile, like they knew your people or had been your people once, and wouldn’t mind being them again. Service was not just kind, but present, like they saw you and meant it.

And as we sat, there in that soft light, the hours did what they rarely do—they slowed. We sipped, we breathed, and the world outside—the fast one, the noisy one—seemed far away and uninvited.

The Coffee House in Atmore is not just a place to get a drink. It is a place to remember who you are, to sit still and sip slow, to be part of a morning that matters. It is a chapter in a Southern story, written in steam and stirred with care. And I reckon I’ll read it again.

A cozy cute cafe shop in the small town, should visit once. Staffs are friendly and nice.
We got Affagato, chicken Caesar salad and grilled cheese sandwich. Coffee smells nice and it has cute decor. The sandwich get a crispy taste with cheese and bacon inside, which tastes better than I expected.
Updated: more pictures of salad bowls I got for lunch here!

This is only my 3rd visit. On my 2nd visit they helped me remember what my old coffee mix was from the coffee shop that was in Flomaton, AL. I’ve named it after my daughter’s nickname, NAYNAY, wh chct, van, eng tof, btr pcn + X-xprso, lrg.
This place is my Go 2 when I want a Fru-Fru coffee, that’s what I call them. This place is a must go to if you’re passing thru or if U live kinda close. I live in Century, FL and I try to come atleast once to twice a week…

My daughter and I loved it here. You can order breakfast or lunch all day. So I had a breakfast sandwich and my daughter had the Caesar salad at 9 in the morning. Food was great and the coffee was so fresh. Well definitely be back

Absolutely the best coffee shop I’ve ever been too. I love the atmosphere and the workers. I’m a regular from the area and I enjoy places to eat with healthy but tasteful choices. This coffee shop has sandwich’s, wraps and hearty bowls with amazing choices in coffee brews! Don’t forget to ask about their specials including a infused water!
