The Coffee House has been a necessary staple for our locals, CWRU staff, and students going on 30 years! We offer a variety of scratch made breakfast pastries, including croissant, danish, muffins, etc made by our own pastry chef! Our breakfast menu runs until 11am, and we offer a small lunch menu, as well as soups made from scratch. Our house is comfy, cozy, and full of space to study or just hang out, offering an upstairs and a downstairs. Come see our smiling baristas and let us brighten your day!

From the wonderful coffee aroma to the warm greetings and smiling faces from the employees the minute you walk through the door— this coffee shop really shines! It’s a great spot for a quick lunch, coffee to go, or a meet with friends. Plenty of seating, great atmosphere, and exceptionally clean. Their turkey sandwich was thick cut on a soft fluffy bun. Tried the broccoli cheddar soup, also excellent. They even made us a tasty breakfast sandwich close to closing time. With so many treat options in the pastry case you’ll want to try them all. I can recommend the tart (shown cut in half to display the crisp buttery crust and rich and creamy filling) and the chocolate chip cookie to start. This should be everyone’s go to when in the area!

I came here after going to a few museums and it’s in a super convenient spot for that. Coffee was great and they baristas were very nice. The atmosphere was kinda of mid I think it was the lighting and the music but it was just weird for some reason. Food and coffee was good though.

Nice, old time feeling coffee house with good coffee and delicious pastries/food. The biscuit breakfast sandwhich was great and coffee too. There are a number of tables inside and large patio and picnic tables outside. Peaceful morning environment. Would go back!

Been going here for over 15 years. Hasn’t always been called the Coffee House…but the coffee and the food as well as the service has been consistently good. Love coming here on the weekend in the spring and summer and either sit out in the garden space out front of take the food to go and enjoy a stroll around Wade Lagoon!

What a cute space! I didn’t explore all the rooms but I did sit on the patio, which was super nice. The person who took my order was so nice as well; I told them it was my first time and that I liked sweet drinks, and usually got a chai. They suggested a Gingerbread drink that had the flavors of chai and chocolate!! I have to return to try more drinks.

Let me start off by saying this was my first time visiting The Coffee House. Walking in I felt the great energy inside. The menu is delectable. Carolyn has superb customer service. I am plant based and she helped me with every question I had, along with putting together a nutritionist meal that brought me back to life!

Love this place! There are multiple rooms in which to relax and enjoy some really excellent coffee and breakfast. All of the pastries are excellent, especially the biscuits and almond croissants. Service is also friendly and fast. Prices are super reasonable. We visited three times on our way through Cleveland and plan to return on the way back. Highly recommend!
