We are an independent specialty coffee shop in the heart of Downtown Rahway, New Jersey. We are dedicated to great coffee, delicious food and home baked treats with great passion for creating a welcoming community space. You will find lots of live music and works from local artists. We serve breakfast, lunch and snacks. Our talented bakers make pastries, cookies and desserts daily. Our coffee comes from Intelligentsia Coffee Roasters who has direct trade relationships with specialty coffee farms around the world. Our organic teas come from Kilogram. We use amazing milk from Battenkill Valley Creamery, a five generation family farm in Salem County, NY in the Hudson River Valley. We have great vegan and gluten free options.

Absolutely love this little hidden gem in Rahway! Maya was so great ! The staff friendly & helpful with suggestions! We came by for the 1st time to have an Anniversary Brunch lol we had a great time & loved the coffee & menu picks!

Amazing place for brunch and super nice owner! We love their coffee and matcha latte! We’ve gotten their roasted beef panini and smoked salmon sandwich for brunch countless times. They also have karaoke nights on Thursdays and live music on some weekend mornings. Great vibe and great people.

I absolutely love this coffee shop. Great location. The people there are just so friendly and helpful and just a great energy in the place overall. It’s a great place to work, read, do some writing and etc. During the weekends they have live bands that play which makes the place even more pleasant. I was on the verge of looking for the best carrot cake and so far theirs is the best. I came in looking for a slice but unfortunately they didn’t have it for the day. The owner then accommodated me by offering for a cake to be baked the next day for such a GREAT price. The cake as you can see was decorated so well. Plus the place is dog friendly as long as they are in a bag. Bhazi gives the place two paws up !

The Coffee Box Rahway is my absolute favorite coffee spot. I’ve been coming here for 2 years now. Their iced coffee and blueberry muffins are fantastic. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great place to sit down and get work done. The owner, Jeff, is incredibly kind and always giving back to the community. I highly recommend The Coffee Box to anyone looking for great coffee.

Popped in to get some pumpkin spice lattes and King Crimson tea to bring back to an event nearby. Came up a book reading and would’ve liked to have stayed! A bit challenging to get our order across because of the mic being used by the book reader. Eclectic atmosphere and notice they had board games and tables outside. Nice neighborhood alternative to the coffee bar chains. The giant cookies looked tempting so we bought a peanut butter one and an almond one. Their menu has some interesting lunch items too for future reference.

Literally what a vibe! Coffee was outstanding, food was delicious, atmosphere amazing, also sweet people behind the register, very helpful when selecting food as well as pastries being that it was my first time there! Meet a sweet person who literally comes in as a regular said since day 1 and told me to come in on weekends for the live show they have around 11am! And Thursdays 7-9pm free mic! Can’t wait to be back just for the delicious food and coffee

Beautiful and cozy spot here in Rahway!
Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed my French onion soup with cheese and sour dough on top… really warmed me up and super flavorful. Got the combo so had half a smoked salmon panini on multigrain which was equally delicious.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!
