I’m really disappointed with my recent matcha protein drink from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had there in a long time.
The drink itself was completely off. It was overly sweet to the point where it overpowered any matcha flavor, way too milky and not nearly cold enough. There wasn’t enough ice, so by the time I actually received it, the drink was already lukewarm. It was also still noticeably powdery, with clumps that clearly hadn’t been blended or shaken properly. It tasted like the protein and matcha weren’t mixed correctly at all, which made the texture unpleasant and gritty.
What made the situation even more frustrating was the service! I was waiting in the drive thru while my drink sat by the window for several minutes as staff helped customers inside. I understand being busy, but watching my drink just sit there getting warmer instead of being handed to me was disappointing and avoidable. It made me feel overlooked as a drive thru customer.
It’s especially unfortunate because I consistently choose Coffee Bean over other coffee spots. I’ve always appreciated the quality and service, which is why this experience stood out so negatively. I’m not someone who typically leaves reviews, but this visit really missed the mark in both product quality and customer service. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and ensures drinks are made and handled with more care moving forward.

The staff are so friendly, the vibe at thi coffee shop is clean, warm, and inviting; the community, the music, and despite the heavy traffic and “parking wars” outside, lol. I can always focus and get work done inside. The staff members always greet you with a smile, sometimes deliver to your table and even remember my “crazy” coffee bean request! This is my favorite Coffee Bean in Cali and thier staff members are amazing!!!

This coffee bean is the worse. They always take forever making your drinks. When you ask them about your drink they gave it to someone in drive thru. They always have long faces like they dont want to be there. Also, they make a big deal about the ice. When you ask for a large or a 32oz and they make a face and don’t want to give it to you when you’re actually paying for it. They need better employees.

I ordered a bagel at Coffee Bean through the drive-through and only found out after receiving it that they charge extra for cream cheese. Seriously? I ended up returning my bagels instead of paying the extra $1.25, which means they lost more money in product than the cream cheese itself. This policy doesn’t make basic sense — most cafés include cream cheese with a bagel by default.
These corporations are nickel and diming customers for everything these days. I’ll be supporting my local donut shop instead — at least they know how to take care of their customers.

Tried this location for the first time, and the customer service was on point. I had not been to a coffee bean since last may while in Hawaii. Sad that they discontinued the chocolate covered coffee bean drinks but Zalya made it all better by assisting me with recommendations. I tried the cookies and cream coffee shake and it was delicious. Will definitely be coming back for more, especially at this location.

From the drive thru I ordered a hot late. It was just over room temperature. I immediately returned and got nothing but attitude from the manager. She stated that room temperature was warm to her. I ordered it hot. Then she refused to help me unless I go thru the drive thru again so I did, Starbucks drive thru. Train your managers a little better Gloria. Worst service in my life

Came in to do some work. I was carrying a water bottle, and after I ordered my matcha strawberry blended oat drink, the barista offered to fill my water bottle, even though it was already full.
Little things like that make these coffee visits so much better! 🙂

Weekend morning shift are rude and lazy! 4th time I come to this location for a Vietnamese coffee and it’s told they don’t have the right ingredients to make it! Looks like they don’t stock up on their condensed milk on weekends. Per the staff
