Wife and I doing our 3 month visit. Went to information entropy and asked our budtender about the 2 taco places down the road and she instantly mentioned rio. And let me tell you after we found a place to park down by the lake awesome view. But once I opened the bag and pulled out my Chipotle steak with everything. I almost cried. Most beautiful thick full of everything a person could want. Made our trip complete. We will be there after every trip to information entropy. Very highly recommend. We are from iowa

Hands down the BEST Mexican food around! My husband and I live in the suburbs of Chicago, but even in such a large metropolitan are with so many restaurants, we salivate over our memories of Rio’s! The quesadillas are our favorite. Prices are reasonable, serving sizes are generous, and service is always efficient. An absolute must stop every time we are in Michigan City or New Buffalo. Can’t wait to try the new, bigger location in New Buffalo when it opens!

Amazing Drive up Mexican food! Super simple menu, with Tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Then you pick from a variety meats, and toppings. The burritos were absolutely massive, as well as the tacos. We noticed a drink on the menu called a horchata, and we had to try it. It was very good! It tastes like sweet rice milk. Our food came out very fast, and prices were reasonable.

Regular at new buffalo, first time visiting here. Not sure if it was because of labor day weekend or…about the food was disgusting. I got same steak burrito I get at NB location, hardly any steak, steak was not seasoned and the mild salsa, salsa Verde was disgusting! See pics…was a gross creamy yellowish…it smelled horrible. Service was not friendly, food disgusting. Pray NB Rios stays true and good! This location is a pass.

A hidden gem. The building looks tacky and raggedy on the outside, but the food is anything but. No Taco Bell here. From the corn shell, to the meat, rice and beans, this tastes like authentic Mexican food. And everything tastes fresh. I can’t believe I passed this up all these years. I will definitely return.

We ate here almost everyday over a long weekend. In love with the spicy pork and really like the chipotle chicken. They’re both even better with the medium salsa. Didn’t love the horchata or the steak, but everything I’ve tried is . Drive-thru service is quick and thorough.
