This bar and restaurant is worth the trip out from Boise and you should definitely stop if you’re passing through on your way to the Wood River area or anywhere else that brings you near! The food is great, especially the fish, which is flown in from Alaska! The owner is very friendly and conversational, she used to live and fish in Alaska, hence the connections for great fish! Pictured is the fish and chips. Nearby you can visit the Gooding City of Rocks, ski Soldier Mountain, and check out the Centennial Camas Marsh.

I cannot recommend this place. I understand it is a small business and a small town…however I have never been so disrespected at a dining experience anywhere. We ate with some friends that are local the night before at this restaurant. Service took a long time… food was decent. My two kids and myself sat in there for 20 minutes with no recognition we existed. I even went up to the bar for at least 10 minutes and nobody would even acknowledge I was there. So off to the grocery store for some Lunchbles to get us by! Wow is all I can say.

Came to the area for a ski weekend at Soldier Mountain. We arrived after a long drive and wanted to stop to eat before checking in to our rental. Stopped at The Cliff Bar and Grille for food and drinks not knowing anything about this place. Lemme tell you …..we were NOT disappointed! Such a great little place, unassuming and welcoming. We ordered fried green beans, fish sandwich with coleslaw, and a black bean burger with fries. Everything was sooooo good. Service was quick and spot on and, again, warm and welcoming. We’ll be back before this weekend is over. Definitely for après ski!
Tip: if you get the fish sandwich, get it with the slaw and pile that stuff high on the sandwich before digging in. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Oh, and if you like a dry cider, get the Seattle cider to drink. Prost!

Loved it! Both the Fish’n’Chips and the Finger Steaks were fantastic, not to mention the fries and onion rings. Friendly service, inviting atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Being a local, I go here a couple of time a month. I enjoy the laid back small town atmosphere. Very pleasant service by the local owner. I LOVE THE WINGS! The menu is a bar / pub bill of fair until the weekend when she runs a dinner special. GREAT seafood specials! THE place to eat in the thriving metroplis of Fairfield Idaho.

Wow! Now that is some fresh Alaskan Seafood. Who would have thought it possible to have such amazing seafood in the middle of Idaho. The owners are retired commercial fishermen from Kodiak Alaska and they have all the connections! Fresh, cooked perfectly and just darn tasty. Ice cold beer and micro-brews on tap!

The fish here is out of this world fresh. I am not usually a fan of cod for it’s usual “fishy” flavor. The cod at The Cliff is very fresh, firm and delicious. I wish I lived closer!

Order the fish and chips. Epic halibut. It’s a purpose decorated rustic bar and restaurant. We’ll come back again just for the halibut.
