I rarely make reviews but the way our server tended to us yesterday is very deserving. Choptank is my favorite restaurant and we’ve been many times but yesterday Kellen was outstanding! He made me feel like it was my very first time. The attention to detail, promptness, presentation, service and thoughtfulness left me in awe. Thank you so much Kellen for confirming my Love for Choptank!

My team and I host an annual leaders dinner and this year we chose Choptank. We always do a different location each year. But after last night, that might change. The experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The food. The vibe. The service. The atmosphere. From fantastic appetizers like the crab dip and the wings to AMAZING fish and gumbo and so much more this was a home run. Special shout out to Jasmine who was on her A game handling our unruly crew of 15. She was so awesome. I expect to be back soon and if you find yourself near the marina in Annapolis, this is a must stop.

Our waitress was Carley and she was kind, knowledgeable, and quick to serve. We were there on a Tuesday evening and was taken right to our table. There was three of us, myself, my wife and my adult daughter. We started things off with cream of crab soup and the wagyu meatball. Both were excellent. The meatball was so big we took half of it home. My wife & daughter got the crab cake platter and were not disappointed. Filled with chunks of crab and just enough filler to keep it together, it was very tasty. I got the scallops, pan seared with ponzu shitake brown butter sauce. They had just the right carmelization on the outside and the sauce was the perfect compliment. We also had a side of Brussels sprouts which were flash fried and drizzled with some sort of sauce and tossed in seasoning. If you are not a fan of Brussels sprouts, trust me, these are the best you will ever have. I had a lemonade and the others had just water. Our bill was $173 before tip so it is pricey, but I think worth it if you are looking for great seafood while in Maryland. I would definitely return.

We chose The Choptank for our wedding-day dinner, and it was nothing short of perfection. The restaurant sits right on the Annapolis Harbor, and somehow manages to match the beauty of its view with every detail inside—from the warmth of the staff to the precision on each plate.
The menu itself tells a story: the Native roots of the Choptank name, the Greek family heritage behind the brand, and the legacy of quality that carries through every dish. You can taste the care and investment behind this place; it’s elevated without pretension.
We began with a spread of appetizers—crab cake, Brussels sprouts, calamari, wagyu meatball, corn pudding, and Maryland crab soup—and each one was incredible in its own way. The crab cake was a masterclass in balance, the meatball rich and deeply savory, and the corn pudding… pure comfort. For dinner, the scallops and branzino were both exquisite, finished with a ponzu-shiitake brown butter sauce that deserves its own line of poetry.
Dessert was no afterthought: a berry cheesecake and a salted caramel brownie crowned with vanilla ice cream—each one flawless. I tried to savor every bite, though it was hard not to devour them outright.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that feels this genuine and this refined at once. The management made our evening unforgettable, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. A perfect ending to a day that meant everything to us. Five shining stars.

Beautiful restaurant and great service. Pretty pricey. Steak was served a bit rare. Fries are nothing special. Crab imperial dip was DELICIOUS. Servings are super generous.

Came here by chance as my dear friends just got married and was taking pictures by the water. We came in as they opened so they had no issues seating a party of 16. Our server Nija was very accommodating in splitting our checks and making sure all of our orders were served to our liking. Sally the manager was also very nice. When she found out we were there celebrating a wedding, she gave the newly weds celebratory drinks and dessert to help us celebrate them even more. I recommend this place for the great customer service and the great food and drinks. Not pictured but the Brussels sprouts were amazing, if you like the roasted with sweetness to it.

We dined here on Valentine’s Day, so I understand it was likely a busy evening. That said, our food unfortunately came out barely warm. It arrived quickly, so we didn’t experience a long wait — which makes the temperature issue more surprising.
The sides were good overall, especially the mixed vegetables, which were the highlight of the meal. The crab bacon fries were decent, but the topping portion didn’t quite match the amount of fries.
I ordered the Delmonico steak cooked medium rare, and the doneness was perfect. However, it was barely warm when served. It gave the impression that it may have been pre-cooked and reheated rather than freshly prepared to order.
My girlfriend ordered the Dover sole. It also arrived just barely warm and was not flaky or moist as expected. Instead, it seemed slightly overcooked and drier than this type of fish should be.
The service itself was good, and the staff was attentive. It’s worth noting that a 20% gratuity is automatically included.
Overall, while the service was solid, the food temperature and quality did not meet expectations for the price point. Unfortunately, we likely won’t be returning, as there are other restaurants in the area that offer better value and consistency.

We had a stellar experience at The Choptank. Our server’s name was Sean. He provided prompt and attentive service during our dining experience. The food was DELICIOUS. My wife dined on the Chilean Sea Bass. I had the Chesapeake Rockfish. Both were topped with Crab Imperialism. Get the Brussels Sprouts! They were really tasty. We really enjoyed the Choptank. The weather was GORGEOUS. Be prepared though: On a busy day, you may have to wait in line to use a restroom.

Nice restaurant off the water. Has a outside seating area upstairs and down. It is best to make reservations because this place had a line with a 20 to 30min wait. We chose to be seated upstairs outside where we were able to get seated sooner and see the boats and other events. It was so hot we chose the salads. It was so hot todaysalads was a good choice. The vegetables was fresh and crips. The Atlas and grilled chicken ceaser with lots of cold water. Service was fast our watier Byran K was super attentive and friendly he made sure we had what we needed. This is a friendly family atmosphere the view is beautiful. Plenty of seating space and open bar area. I plan on returning soon and try something else on the menu
Lots of seafood dishes and something for the children.
Please enjoy the video and pictures.
