EVERYTHING was fantastic! The banana bread, the dips, everything. 10/10 Reccomend! Also some of the kindest people on the planet. I came up to Highlands this past weekend from Greenville SC to propose to my girlfriend. First day there, I get a flat tire and it’s down pouring. Luckily I got a flat right in front of the bakery. Went inside and everyone was so helpful, kind, and accommodating!

I really love all the items they offer at “The Heaven”. My wife and I can’t get enough of the Chocolate Cake, Red Velvet, Coffee cake, the giant cookies and Banana bread. They sell other really interesting food items too from local small business. Checked out that gourmet popcorn! I could not stop snacking on it! They even have delicious soups, dips, salads and prepared meals for two. With the easy parking this is a great time saver over fighting for a space downtown. Can’t wait to go back!

We went on a Friday night and fell in love with this place. They had live Jazz, cupcakes and wine. It was the perfect setting with great desserts. We got to meet the owners, Krysti and Thomas, and they were very welcoming. I would definitely try the cinnamon coffee cake and banana bread. Skip the restaurant desserts and come here after your dinner. Trust me When I say you will thank me later.

To be fair, I got the cake made by this company at another retailer…Crossroads. It was a splurge on our 10 year anniversary get away in Cashiers.
We got the Italian Cream Cake. While the icing was nice, the cake was so dry it seemed the flour must have had the consistency of corn meal.
It was money down the drain…or rather, in the trash. A huge disappointment.

We stepped into the CAKE BAR in Highlands to get dessert to take as a hostess gift. The delightful young woman who served us was attentive, knowledgeable and very personable. She told us about the history of the store and how it all started with the Chocolate Heaven cake. We bought one and it was a huge hot at the dinner!! It was rich and creamy and absolutely scrumptious. Great decision!!

We went there today and bought the cake flight which had a slice of the chocolate & red velvet & coconut cake. All 3 were serious dry & made us disappointed because it smelt so good! I wished I’d taken it back but hate to make a fuss. As the day went on we kept thinking what must of happened was the cakes were frozen… no one wants to eat dry cake!

Stopped in for an afternoon snack. Many great looking items, finally deciding on a piece of the flourless chocolate cake. Good grief, it was amazing! Decided to pickup some granola on the way out, it was very good. The personal service was also very good. Highly recommended.
