Bright and airy Indian restaurant serving street food-inspired dishes and homemade ice-creams.

“I’m a regular at Chili Pickle, an Indian gem I visit often with my dad. Their lunch Thali deal is an absolute steal at £18you get a flavorful curry, crispy onion bhajis, warm naan, and a variety of dips. The food is consistently fantastic, and the daytime atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Just a heads up if you’re thinking of going in the evening, it does get busy, and the service can be a bit slow. But for a great daytime curry in Brighton, I can’t recommend it enough!”

Absolutely delicious, I had king prawn ‘kedgeree’ but not as you know if. It was sweet with prawn shells, rich and sauced with bisque topped with four large chargrilled king prawns. So good. My partner had Oxtail madras which was slow cooked, melt in the mouth and deeply rich and spiced. The portions are good. Hetty served us perfectly, a friendly team who you feel are happy to help. THE BEST.

Loved the vibe of this place as soon as you walked in the door.
Great food and service. I didn’t want anything too spicy so had the butter chicken. The chicken was plentiful, tender and very tasty. Would 100% recommend. We turned up an hour earlier than our allotted time and they accommodated us without any fuss.

Food delivers taste from the first bite, the prawn biryani was deeply flavourful. Stand-outs include the rasam-doughnuts (vadai) with chutney, which feel genuinely authentic, just crispy. Ending with chai was perfect, comforting and balanced. The restaurant has a lovely décor, a great Indian music playlist, and excellent service, setting an experience.

Amazing food.
I had the fish and clam curry extra spicy with additional chillies, with black dhal. My friend had the chicken biryani. He was amazed woth the portions of chicken and a flavour he couldn’t quite put his tongue on. It came with mint sauce and something else…
Service was great although the waiter wouldn’t tell us the secret recipe. He did explain though why Chilli Pickle had moved locations and how they wanted to reflect more street foods and the culture of India.
My friend ordered his own cocktail, but he devoured my boozy lassi… and then the second one he ordered in replacement. Fabulous.

This was my first visit.
Restaurant is well prep and given a good old and new mix continental interior.
You will probably hear Indian 60s/70s/80s songs. It makes this place unique and good with experience.
My table were given two rice when I only ordered one. I reminded and they took one back. The service boy brought up some dishes and also once a drink which was not ordered.
Food is overpriced all the main dishes. The portion sizes are also small.
Be careful, this places prices are very high and you probably eat same food elsewhere less than 50% of price.
Wasn’t mentioned service charges at beginning

Probably my favourite Indian restaurant. Hadn’t been in several years but made the trip to Brighton today simply because we missed it. Food is still excellent and the customer service was brilliant. Toilets actually quite pleasant too. Love it there!
