I was a little hesitant about trying a Mexican buffet, but I was pleasantly surprised. For $20, you get in the door and have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I sampled a bit of everything, and honestly, not one thing was bad.
You can pay $16 for a mediocre burrito from any local “-ertos” place, or you can spend $20 (drinks are extra) here and get a ton of food with noticeably better quality.
Some items are already prepared and ready to grab, while others you order and they bring to your table in about 5–10 minutes. It’s similar to the style of a sushi buffet. They also have different specials every day on top of the regular buffet, which is pretty cool. I went on Seafood Saturday, and for a Mexican restaurant in a rougher area of Phoenix, the seafood was surprisingly good.
The only downside was the lack of desserts, which was a bit of a letdown.

Overall, it’s definitely worth the $20+ per person, and I’ll be coming back to try it again.
Good job, Chill Spot!

To owener and manager!!we, first time visit Mexican buffet .me and my son came there…on Sunday „special menudo and pozole of menu.
I was so excited when I came across The Chill Spot LLC, as the prospect of an ‘all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet’ sounded fantastic. I envisioned a wide variety of fresh, delicious dishes, ready for me to try a little bit of everything. Unfortunately, the reality was a complete letdown and a significant source of frustration.
The term ‘buffet’ is used very loosely here. In truth, this is a fixed-menu restaurant where you are expected to order from a very limited selection. There is no large spread of food to choose from; you are simply getting a single, small portion at a time, which is the exact opposite of the ‘all-you-can-eat’ experience.
What makes this even worse is the price. The cost is far too high for what you actually get. The food quality is not high enough to justify the price, and the portions are not generous in any way.
I left feeling completely ripped off and disappointed, as my expectations were shattered by the false advertising.
If you are looking for an all-you-can-eat dining experience, or if you simply want good value for your money, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.
The Chill Spot LLC is not what it claims to be, and it’s a complete waste of both time and money.
20$ each =40$+no water free.they charged 3.30$ for two water bottles+sales tax=47.02$
Expect to spend $47+ plus no tips because no good customer service .no extra making for beef buritos.no good taste chicken buritos.we never come back again at that Mexican buffet .

The food was amazing authentic and delicious! Our server Daniel was very friendly and attentive. There were so many options and we genuinely had trouble deciding what to eat.

We left completely stuffed and fully satisfied.

All for a great price! Easily the best Mexican food I’ve had living in Phoenix for 15 years!!

We gave this Mexican buffet a try and while there were some good things, it left us a bit underwhelmed overall. There were a few selections off of the buffet part of the menu that they didn’t have which was also unfortunate. The portions were decent for a buffet, and some of the food was enjoyable, but the quality was inconsistent. A few of the meats were overcooked and came out pretty chewy, and the salsa was disappointing — the red salsa started off flavorful and spicy, but the second time around it tasted bland, like straight tomato.

The drink setup was another downside. Only the agua frescas (which were limited to horchata and mango during our visit) are refillable. Canned sodas aren’t, so paying per can adds up fast. To reference it’s $2.07 per can.

It’s not a bad place, but with a few improvements in flavor and value, it could be a lot better. Decent for a casual bite, but probably not something we’d go out of our way for again.

I’m gonna start by saying if this restaurant wasn’t 2,500 miles away from my house, I’d be a regular you couldn’t get rid of. My husband and I have been planning to eat at this aptly named chill spot for months, ever since I came across it by chance on Google Maps!

An all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet?? Where you can get pretty much everything on the menu on Wednesdays? With BILLIARDS? Sold. There. 100%.

And boy, did it live up to our expectations. Solid Mexican food, just the right level of heat, homey casual vibes, every bit so satisfying. If this place was in NYC, it’d be packed to the gills 24/7.

We had… well, a little bit of everything, but I would get seconds of the quesabirria tacos, chicken flautas, beef tamales, and al pastor tacos.

If I only had a few hours in Phoenix, I’d probably just spend it chilling here.

Can’t always trust Google reviews. I went in anticipation of a good Mexican food Buffett. Not you typical Buffett per say. You go up and order your food then go and sit and wait for them to bring it to you. The server is very good about explaining the process but leaves out some detail. The bring back you food on a 9″ segmented styrofoam plate. The main dish and two sides one at that. But when they bring it with just enough food you would serve a toddler in a high chair. I feel I burn more calories walking over and back to order my food then I get in the servings brought back. Some people don’t have all day to eat they want to do other things in life as well. The food in my opinion lacks authenthicy and is ok at best. Which I found out very quicklyy rule ofrxicsn food restaurants is applicable here. If they have good and Hot salsa the food will be good. I asked for the hot salsa they brought back chili oil. Not that chili oil is bad on some dishes. But many dishes require a good hot salsa to compliment the flavor of the dish. Needless to say it was a mildly expensive lesson learned and I will not be returning.

The food was SO good! We went on Wednesday which included most days on the buffet and I believe main menu, which everything was basically prepared fresh in front of you. My husband got the green chicken Pozole and I got the Menudo for an appetizer and it was so filling and great! We were stuffed by the time our actual food came out (which you could go up as many times as needed but once was definitely enough for us). Portions were huge compared to what we’re use to at other places and filling not to mention the amazing aguas frescas(also unlimited)! We wished we could get thru more than one cup with all the food but again we were STUFFED on the appetizer sizes. Will definitely be in again 10/10 especially with the nice service from a young gentleman!

Mexican Buffet

I had the wonderful opportunity to experience a Mexican Buffet for the first time, so after my listing appointment, I eagerly decided to stop by!

I observed that the setup could use a bit more organization, and the hardworking servers here could use some extra recognition for their efforts. While I typically don’t tip 20% at buffets, I felt that the attentive ladies serving me truly deserved it.

The Chicken Mole I tried was an absolute delight – the sauce was incredibly flavorful!

On Sundays, they offer a bonus meal of soups, so I opted for the Menudo, which was a tasty choice.

I’m already looking forward to returning on Wednesdays for the bonus meal that includes everything except shrimp. For shrimp lovers , Saturday is the day to visit!

It’s worth noting that refills are not complimentary, but the overall dining experience was quite enjoyable.

Although I believe I received good value for the $20 fee considering how much I ate, I may not go out of my way to visit again. The food was decent overall, but the Chicken Mole was the standout dish that truly impressed me.

I would be back, just not go out of my way to

The servers were all very nice

Over $8 in drinks because NO FREE REFILL

This was the first time I came here. Very interesting concept as far “as all you can eat.” Food was great! There’s pool table and a reading area with board games. Anthony was excellent in explaining how to order and very attentive. And very patient with us A few different places for photo opportunities, including a Mayan painting mural. Was here on my birthday and they played happy birthday on the screen over the loudspeaker to me.
