You can pay $16 for a mediocre burrito from any local “-ertos” place, or you can spend $20 (drinks are extra) here and get a ton of food with noticeably better quality.
Some items are already prepared and ready to grab, while others you order and they bring to your table in about 5–10 minutes. It’s similar to the style of a sushi buffet. They also have different specials every day on top of the regular buffet, which is pretty cool. I went on Seafood Saturday, and for a Mexican restaurant in a rougher area of Phoenix, the seafood was surprisingly good.
The only downside was the lack of desserts, which was a bit of a letdown.
Overall, it’s definitely worth the $20+ per person, and I’ll be coming back to try it again.
Good job, Chill Spot!
I was so excited when I came across The Chill Spot LLC, as the prospect of an ‘all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet’ sounded fantastic. I envisioned a wide variety of fresh, delicious dishes, ready for me to try a little bit of everything. Unfortunately, the reality was a complete letdown and a significant source of frustration.
The term ‘buffet’ is used very loosely here. In truth, this is a fixed-menu restaurant where you are expected to order from a very limited selection. There is no large spread of food to choose from; you are simply getting a single, small portion at a time, which is the exact opposite of the ‘all-you-can-eat’ experience.
What makes this even worse is the price. The cost is far too high for what you actually get. The food quality is not high enough to justify the price, and the portions are not generous in any way.
I left feeling completely ripped off and disappointed, as my expectations were shattered by the false advertising.
If you are looking for an all-you-can-eat dining experience, or if you simply want good value for your money, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.
The Chill Spot LLC is not what it claims to be, and it’s a complete waste of both time and money.
20$ each =40$+no water free.they charged 3.30$ for two water bottles+sales tax=47.02$
Expect to spend $47+ plus no tips because no good customer service .no extra making for beef buritos.no good taste chicken buritos.we never come back again at that Mexican buffet .
We left completely stuffed and fully satisfied.
All for a great price! Easily the best Mexican food I’ve had living in Phoenix for 15 years!!
The drink setup was another downside. Only the agua frescas (which were limited to horchata and mango during our visit) are refillable. Canned sodas aren’t, so paying per can adds up fast. To reference it’s $2.07 per can.
It’s not a bad place, but with a few improvements in flavor and value, it could be a lot better. Decent for a casual bite, but probably not something we’d go out of our way for again.
Perfect for party’s and group gatherings
An all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet?? Where you can get pretty much everything on the menu on Wednesdays? With BILLIARDS? Sold. There. 100%.
And boy, did it live up to our expectations. Solid Mexican food, just the right level of heat, homey casual vibes, every bit so satisfying. If this place was in NYC, it’d be packed to the gills 24/7.
We had… well, a little bit of everything, but I would get seconds of the quesabirria tacos, chicken flautas, beef tamales, and al pastor tacos.
If I only had a few hours in Phoenix, I’d probably just spend it chilling here.

Mexican Buffet
I had the wonderful opportunity to experience a Mexican Buffet for the first time, so after my listing appointment, I eagerly decided to stop by!
I observed that the setup could use a bit more organization, and the hardworking servers here could use some extra recognition for their efforts. While I typically don’t tip 20% at buffets, I felt that the attentive ladies serving me truly deserved it.
The Chicken Mole I tried was an absolute delight – the sauce was incredibly flavorful!
On Sundays, they offer a bonus meal of soups, so I opted for the Menudo, which was a tasty choice.
I’m already looking forward to returning on Wednesdays for the bonus meal that includes everything except shrimp. For shrimp lovers , Saturday is the day to visit!
It’s worth noting that refills are not complimentary, but the overall dining experience was quite enjoyable.
Although I believe I received good value for the $20 fee considering how much I ate, I may not go out of my way to visit again. The food was decent overall, but the Chicken Mole was the standout dish that truly impressed me.
I would be back, just not go out of my way to
The servers were all very nice
Over $8 in drinks because NO FREE REFILL
