I’m a chef and have been exploring food in NYC for 25 years and nana’s is my favorite new place serving some of the freshest and tastiest middle eastern sandwiches. I wanted to try everything on the menu. Things not to miss are the Sabich and Malawach. Try the fries too! Everything was so fresh and perfectly seasoned. The owner and staff were so hospitable and friendly!

We were hosting family at our house to celebrate a holiday and I had heard that the food from this restaurant was great! I looked at the menu online and found the catering packages. My first question was- would they deliver to my home which was not near the restaurant – or would I have to travel some distance to get it, so I called and was lucky enough to speak with the owner Gina who said she would absolutely deliver a catering order to us. My next question was about the chicken dishes- I wasn’t sure which I’d like and Gina invited me to come by before making the order to taste her food. I thought I’d show up and there’d be one fork with a piece of chicken shawarma and a fork with a piece of chicken shishlick. When my husband and I got there, she presented us with the most amazing tasting plates ever!!! Gina was beyond generous to do this for us! We placed our order for the following day and the food arrived on time and warm. It was huge hit!!! Everyone loved the food: salads, falafel, Moroccan cigars, chicken shishlik and shawarma, basmati rice, Couscous, pita, humus and dipping sauces. It was wonderful every step of the way and highly recommend!!!

I was in New York due to being stranded because my flight got cancelled due to weather. I am not eating meat or diary and there are many options for veg-heads and vegans.
To sum it up, this place is *chef’s kiss.* Not only is the food good, clean, and wholesome the service was top tier. My teacher and I asked the woman (owner?) a hundred questions and she answered each one of them with patience and an incredible amount of suggestions and knowledge. We even got to taste test things to ensure we liked them. I highly recommend this establishment not only for the food, but for the immaculate vibe of just being good people.
If I am ever in Queens again this will be one of my first stops.

This place is out of control!! They’re extremely over priced and the service is horrible. I placed an order for a specific item ahead of time. When I arrived my order wasn’t even ready. They looked at me as if they had no idea on what I was taking about. They made me wait 15 additional minutes and on top of that they made my order completely wrong!! No where on their menu does it specify that their chicken platter cost 25$! This place is a scam and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. King of shawarma is 10x better and it’s only a 10minute drive away.

Stopped here to grab a quick meal on the go. We are vegetarian and they had many choices. The food was fresh and excellent. So much flavor. Often, falafel and grilled eggplant can be dry in a sandwich. Combination of the salads, the sauces, and the food made a rich and delicious sandwich. Really loved it!
We had the Sabich and the Felafel sandwichs. Also got a side of hummus, which is so delicious.

ABSOLUTELY delicious food!! Sooo fresh and tasty and not oily. The Zatar fries were super delicious and not overfried at all. We had 2 plates with chicken shwarma and chicken shishlik, and we were extremely satisfied. We also liked the mint lemonade, refreshing and not too sweet. We will come again. And the stuff was very nice.
