Ordered a grilled chicken salad, I got very little lettuce, only the hard pieces that you see in the top. The salads here are not cheap, and I’m not paying for the hard ends that I cannot eat. Very disappointed and we won’t be ordering lunch here again.

Never have I had such delicious, hot & fresh food served with such down home charm in all my life. Mr. Chelsea Malone’s establishment in Holly Springs, MS is ALL that & soooo much more. Everything & I mean everything we tried was equally scrumptious! There’s no such thing as a favorite dish here because it’s all wonderful, and his prices are beyond reasonable!! I love eating at the chicken coop. It’s a very welcoming environment with really nice people running it. The food is absolutely delicious! The fried mushrooms & homemade onion rings are wonderful. The wings are so good.

I always order the 3 chicken wings combo with honey gold sauce. I love that honey gold. Food always hot and good. However, I picked my order up today, the fries were burnt. I was to far away to return the order. Very disappointed. Don’t know who was the cook but how they put burnt fries in a order? You know they are burnt. I am a paying customer. It’s not you giving me anything free. It will be awhile before I return if ever. I’m giving 3 stars because past orders were good or I will give them a one.

We thought the place was great!!! First of all, the person at the counter greeted everyone when they came in and when they left, good practice. She was wearing a mask however, was easy to understand, their menu is online and they have the QR code there so scanned and we decided to have the blackened fish, my wife had the 2 piece, i had the 3 piece. She had okra and seasoned fried, i had slaw and seasoned fries. The fish was perfect, had a very nice cooked consistency, not over or under, fell apart with a fork and the slaw was a perfect blend of mayo with the cabbage and over veggies. The okra, which i normally do not do, was fantastic too, the breading on it had a seasoning which was marvelous, really popped your taste buds and made you want more. Half and half tea was strong and half and half. Talked to a couple of local people and they said this was the place….i tend to agree.
