Hubby and I popped in for the fist time for lunch today. We started off with the cheese curds. They were inedible. They we so soaked with grease that it was seeping out of the basket. The marinara that came with it was fantastic though. I ordered the grilled cheese and hubby had the tenders. The tenders were actually pretty good and the fries were on point. However I was disappointed that the grilled cheese was made from processed cheese slices and not real cheese. This is such a groovy location and the staff was great, just wish the food matched.

It was mine and my wife’s first time dining here tonight. The service was great. The atmosphere was really cool and the food especially the burgers we had were fantastic! I love a good smashburger and these were perfect. The french fries were really crispy and delicious. We will definitely be back for sure.

We decided to come here as we wanted to try something new (Kings Mountain residents) and we were blown away! We waited five minutes for a table which was great considering it’s Valentine’s day. The food was the best we’ve had in any restaurant. We got the Pit Burger, Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, and Corn Nuggets. Outstanding food and service! 5/5 and will be back soon!

Fantastic burgers! The fried cheese curds are delicious. And the grilled brussel sprouts are also great. The wings are tasty, too. And there’s a good selection of beers & mixed drinks.

This was our third time eating at The Cherry Pit. Our appetizer came out quickly and it was delicious. We waited extremely a long time. I truly think our order was misplaced.
The staff and cooks were working extremely hard. After waiting so long we requested our ticket. The Manager said, we were next in line. Our order consist of a grilled cheese and chicken Philly.
The couple placed beside us was served before us and we arrived before this couple.
The server and manager stated that Friday is like this and they have more customers in the back.
Customers are not always right. Staff being defensive and not trying to make it a better experience would have saved a customer.

So excited for The Cherry Pit to open! What a wonderful place for our little town. We have eaten here several times and everything is delicious. Our favorites are The Pit Burger, sprouts, spinach dip, and mac and cheese. Super friendly staff and they are very accommodating. The bar seats are so comfortable, you could stay all night. They have thought of everything to make this a great place to dine! Ample parking available and the outdoor patio and fire pits are gonna be perfect for football and fall weather! Enjoy a stroll down mainstreet after dinner, you won’t be disappointed!

The Cherry Pit is a gem, and Cherryville is lucky to have it! My wife and I both tried out burgers on our first visit. I had the Pit Burger, and my wife had the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Both were cooked perfectly, two patties of delicious seasoned and juicy beef, fresh toppings, with soft and hearty buns. The fries were hot and crispy. I upgraded to corn nuggets for $2 extra as my side item, and they were sweet, crispy outside and creamy inside. We also sampled the pimento cheese appetizer, which was a generous portion of homemade cheese spread with warm pita points for dipping. My wife also enjoyed a spiked Cherry Lemon Sun Drop, the perfect cocktail for Cherryville. Our server Halle was friendly, efficient and attentive to just the right extent. The vibe in this place is great, with a beautiful interior, full bar, and outside seating also available with regular live music on the back patio. We’ll definitely go back. Other small towns in the area should take note of what Cherryville is doing right, the Cherry Pit being a jewel in the crown of that community success!

WHAT A GEM!!! I haven’t had a burger with that much UMPH in a long while! The meat was full of flavor and juicy, the amount of homemade pimento cheese was perfect, and my husband’s burger was fabulous as well. He is the burger connoisseur and he was pretty quiet eating so that’s a really good sign! The fries were really good too. Great place in a beautiful up and coming back ol’ southern town. Xo ♥️
