This was our first time here, and we can say that Amber is an amazing waitress. The pros and cons of our experience: overall, we would say, do not get the braised short rib entree, meat and grits were too dry, missing accompaniments mentioned in the menu. The waitress agreed because she tasted it as well. We had to return it. Do get the brussel sprouts as a side, seasoned well. The calamari was a very small portion to price ratio and only really had the rings, not so much the legs. We thought the chicken salad sandwich was average but do get the homemade chips. So good! And get the Blackberry burger! Cooked well and the goat cheese spread was divine. 3.75/5. Owner cared enough to find out the true details of what happened and what didn’t meet expectations.

We have been wanting to try the Chelsea for a long time and finally got the chance while spending the weekend in New Bern celebrating my fiancés birthday.
Let me say the service was excellent. The food looked good but the shrimp and grits lacked flavor and sauce. We travel all over and its one of my favorites but this was one of the worst sadly.
The turkey club was “good” per my love. The bread and butter was delish! The expresso martini was good but the peach Bellini we didn’t care for. The best part was the sweet older ladies that sat by us. They actually sang Happy birthday to my fiancé.

The hostess always has a welcoming smile and is normally quick to get you seated The tables are dressed in white table cloths. There is dining on 2 floors one up and one down.

One of our favorites is the cauliflower pizza crust pizzas. They offer a variety of different toppings from time to time I have had a seafood medley as a topping and most recently (pictured) philly steak pizza with strips of ribeye, onions, provolone, peppers and a delish garlic cream sauce. My wife had the shepherds pie and said it was also very good
Their shrimp and grits are probably the best I have ever tasted. The sandwiches like Rueben and Club are excellent.
The food is also presented very neatly and attractive.

Very enjoyable afternoon’s with my wife and daughter. This is a great place for family’s, couples, friends, or business meetings. Just stop by for a drink at the bar if you have time for a relaxing evening after a good or rough day of work. Our server Anissa did an amazing job delivering an excellent quality of service. Thank you! And we look forwards to returning for great meals again.

First time here. Been meaning to try all these years. Old Fashioned was on point. Calamari is good, like other places. The Cajun Ribeye with candied bacon and gorgonzola added nice flavor although the mashed potatoes were dry. Service could be a little better. We had to follow up with our waiter for items.

This place is nestled on a nice corner of downtown New Bern and was a nice place to eat for my birthday brunch! The service was amazing but the food sadly was not as good as it looked and it looked amazing. My wife’s shrimp and grits were dry and did not have a lot of taste, my sandwich was about the same however my cranberry mayo was on point. The best part of the meal was my espresso martini, which was probably the best I have had out! I would like to go back again to try a dinner and to see if the food is better.

We went at dinner time. The restaurant was clean and the table were set. I ordered the alfredo special for the night and everything was cooked well and tasted good. Service was good and our waiter was polite.

The salmon with light cream sauce, capers, rice pilaf and brussel sprouts was outstanding! One of the best meals I had during the week in New Bern. Not over- spiced, so the salmon could be tasted. Fabulous and very reasonably priced. I’d go back!

Food was exceptional! I had the voodoo steak and shrimp and my wife had the crab cakes. Everything was cooked to our liking and seasoned very well. The owner RON and his staff treated us with care and provided great service. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out for the great atmosphere and experience. You will not leave hungry!
