The pancakes 100% live up to the hype! They are so light and fluffy. Smell and taste incredible. Definitely my new pancake spot. This spot is so unfussy. It’s a simple menu but the quality is top tier. I loveeee their sweet potato crisps with their guacamole sauce. I would buy a bag and tub of them easily. The service is great. They work as a team so you don’t get one particular server. But they are all fantastic. Note that it does get busy fast plus they do take out orders. And with the hospital and offices being their neighbors you do have to be paitent at times. But you are not being neglected purposely, they do get backed up during peak times.

The food is creative and tasty! Very friendly staff. (Matt is amazing!) Breakfast & lunch are both served all day. Haven’t tried dinner yet but we are looking forward to. The dishes are fresh, well blended, and flavorful and substitutions aren’t an issue.

I stumbled upon this spot while running errands, and the food turned out to be way better than I expected! I ordered the shrimp omelette, and my fiancée did too — both were delicious. We also saw someone order pancakes and just couldn’t resist trying them ourselves. Our server, Peggy, was phenomenal — so sweet, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

I like to go to this place in the morning for a nice brunch. I tried shrimp omelette, pancakes, french toast, and eggplant etc. Their food is amazing and other side food such as bacon, muffins and even jams are not like commercial stuff. The servers are so nice. I showed the pics of food to my friends and recommend this place! Thank you

Came here during breakfast with my mother, the service was quick to sit us down. Parking is paid meter parking, since it’s near the hospital it’s a very busy place but still worth visiting. Food tasted freshly made and the drinks were delicious. There is inside seating and in the summer they also have an outdoor/indoor space.

I have been driving along Mineola for as long I could remember and didn’t notice this breakfast place until now. Though it accepts cash only for breakfast/brunch, it didn’t bother me and hubby. Not much tables but it wasn’t crowded at noon time on a Sunday. We were seated promptly. Coffee was excellent, strong to our liking . Servers were nice and kitchen was very accommodating to my request ( scrambled egg with chopped tomato, onion, scallion and cilantro ). Omelette comes with homemade muffin ( selections of banana, plain, blueberry and more ), not the boring toast but still available if you wanted it. Homefries were not boring as well. It’s tasty. My husband had steak and eggs which prepared uniquely as well. We like their variations of what we ordered. So highly recommend. Of course , we will be back.

Currently on a 50 restaurant tour encompassing Nassau, Suffolk County, NYC and Massachusetts. Restaurant number 42. A name like Chef’s Corner conjures up visions of upscale Michelin star restaurant. Upon entry I was immediately given clarity. Apparently I need to get out more as this was anything but that. Little curb appeal matched only by It’s drab decor and ambiance. It’s reminiscent of a hospital cafeteria. Had I not been determined to experience this place I would’ve deliberately missed it. I must say in all honesty, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Parking is affordable and available. The wait staff was polite and accommodating as a seat by the door is a problem on a cold day. The cook can cook as the food was very flavorful. The old adage ” don’t judge a book by It’s cover ” applies here. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely pay them another visit.
