Couldn’t even wait to take a picture. Second time coming to The Chef, and it has been delicious both times. Their biscuits and gravy is so great! The breakfast pizza is fun to get. Their steak bennie and veggie bennies have been really good both times. Friendly staff!

Amazing breakfast but even greater people. I left my jacket at the restaurant and that same day and at the restaurant expense, they mailed it to me. The Midwest people are the best and the food is amazing.

I was in Manhattan on business and wanted something a little special. The Chef came highly recommended by a friend, so in spite of the crazy construction detours, Google got me to your place.
The breakfast service was fast and friendly and very helpful to a first-time customer.
My order of hash and eggs was excellent, and the serving was very generous. I was sad to leave some on the plate.
If you need a great breakfast in Manhattan, I highly recommend The Chef.

Spent the night in Manhattan and was looking for a good brunch place to eat. Stumbled across this place and decided to give it a try. It was hopping! Had to wait about 10 minutes, they offer you a coffee while you wait. The food was amazing! Everyone else’s food looked amazing too! Lowkey vibe, great service. My husband ordered the breakfast pizza, I had the steak ham bennies. Generous portions. If we are ever in town again, definitely hitting this place up again!

Took my mom and 3 year old to breakfast the only seating option was a high top which less than ideal with a toddler but fine. We ordered him a burger that came out bloody raw. We had to send to back for a new one that he refused to eat because it was “yucky” so I ate a bite of it and don’t blame him. It was super greasy and unseasoned. My mom and I both got BELT sandwiches yall my mom’s bread was BURNT meanwhile mine, barely toasted. Ontop of that the description said Texas toast, this was regular bread which not the end of the world but ontop of everything else. The potatoes seemed definitely old and very soggy Ontop of all this, almost no apology for the burger situation, we weren’t angry, it happens we just asked to have it made again so it could be safe for him. Barely an apology to be had about it, which truly should just be common courtesy.

Ordered To-Go Monte Cristo and a couple of pancakes and was wildly dissatisfied with the pancakes. I hope next time they could actually cook them or have anyone care about what they look like before serving them.

Crab Cake Bennie. Crab cakes over cooked, chewy. English muffins sawed with a knife. Potatoes may have been the worst I’ve had in 61 years. Hollandaise sauce was cold. Good coffee. Waitress didn’t care about my opinion, walked away when I started to tell her about my experience.

We will definitely be back! The biscuits and gravy are amazing! So rich and creamy! The biscuit has just the right amount of crisp on the outside and soft inside. The coffee is pretty strong. We like that though. After I added my sweetener and creamer, it was so delicious! The toast and warm strawberry jam, which is more like a syrup, was also delish! Corned beef hash was full of big chunks of meat. Yum! The downsides. Steak was a little tough, but seasoned well and still really good. I’d get it again. Homestyle potatoes were so spicy with black pepper, I couldn’t eat them. Jay loved them though. Next time I’ll get over medium eggs as the over easy was soooo runny. Even the whites. All in all, the good stuff so outweighs the not so good, I can’t wait to try more stuff! UPDATE! Everything I’ve had here is good, and we come here quite a bit! We started to get a half order of the Hash to share, it’s so delicious! The steak didn’t work for me, but the potatoes have never had the pepper ⁰problem since the first time. The Dang Quesadilla is really good. I often get the oatmeal with crispy bacon. I love it! 11/22 We’re back! The Special today was a Steak Fajita Bowl and man! It was packed full of good stuff!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Chef in Manhattan, and I must say, it exceeded expectations. We sat on the patio on a beautiful morning. We tried the French toast, biscuits and gravy, and corned beef hash, and each dish was absolutely delicious. The French toast was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The biscuits were fluffy and paired perfectly with the savory, rich gravy, while the corned beef hash offered a hearty, flavorful experience with large chunks of delicious corned beef.
I also took a chance on the manmosa, a creative twist on the classic mimosa. While I was initially skeptical, it turned out to be much better than expected. It was a refreshing and enjoyable complement to the meal.
Overall, The Chef offers great comfort food with a few creative twists, and I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

We have come three times, and always order different things. We just don’t understand the popularity. The hard hashbrown cakes are always so greasy, nothing tastes like it has any seasoning, and the prices for basic breakfast food is silly. The food does look good, it comes out at a good pace, and the atmosphere is nice. The service is helpful, and they all assist each other. The pancakes are fine… the last time we went, all 3 of us left significant portions of our entrees.
