It was my wife’s and my first time dining at The Cheesecake Factory in Tacoma, and overall, our experience was just okay. The restaurant is huge and beautifully designed—it feels upscale and impressive when you walk in.
When we arrived, no one greeted us, so we waited for a while until someone finally came over and asked if we needed a table for two. We were then seated by our server, Tiara. She brought us bread with butter and our drinks, which was a nice way to start the meal.
We ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce and the French dip. The spaghetti was decent but nothing special. Unfortunately, the French dip was disappointing. It was greasy and slightly burnt. The bread was overly buttery, the onions were burnt, and even though I ordered the meat medium, it came out well done. The au jus sauce was also very limited—less than half a cup—which wasn’t enough for the sandwich.
I also ordered a house salad with Thousand Island dressing, but instead, my plate came with French fries and ketchup. When I told Tiara, she said she would fix it. When she returned, she brought a Caesar salad with a very small cup of dressing that looked like Thousand Island and removed the fries. Even after the correction, the order was still wrong. Since it was our first visit, I decided not to make a bigger issue out of it.
My wife didn’t enjoy her meal, and I couldn’t finish the French dip. We packed the food to go, but overall, the experience did not meet our expectations for our first visit.

I decided to give Cheesecake Factory another chance after an absolutely pathetic chicken carbonara in California. The carbonara was probably the best I’ve ever had here at this Tacoma mall location. Super happy with the food. This location is quite busy; there seems to usually be a 15-30 minute wait. Don’t make plans for immediately after because being this busy means the food takes a while. But at least this location hasn’t given in to lower quality and standards; happy to pay more to keep the good food.

I have only done take out orders at this location and I haven’t had much issues with my orders. However, this time around, they filled up my drink too much that it was leaking in different areas (the top and the edges of the lid). The cup got sticky too and they didn’t offer napkins or a spoon either. However, everything I ordered was good.
The staff here are friendly and the ambiance is the same as other Cheesecake Factories. It is a big location and they have an entrance from outside and inside the mall. When I came in from the mall entrance, there wasn’t a sign or anyone who noticed me so I had to walk through the restaurant to get to the hostess area.

We have reservation at 1:30pm, after check in got to the table close to 2pm, hosts wasn’t to friendly, I understand it’s busy Sunday afternoon, but we feel like was just ignored. After we finally got to our table our servant Cindy was great, above and beyond, with all this craziness she was super friendly nice and calm.
Food was good. Have good time with our family.

We waited about 45 mins to get a table. Not bad considering we walked around the mall. We got seated around 1455 and didn’t get our food until around 1545. So needless to say they were busy. But the food was pretty good, I wished we got there earlier though to enjoy the brunch menu. I’d highly recommend the Mac-n-cheese burger. The grilled chicken sandwich, or the chicken Alfredo. They were all good and full of flavor. Though our son was getting fussy, we decided to bring the desserts home.

You don’t really go to Cheesecake Factory for the food so much as you go for experience of going. The food was good yet you’re not really getting full and the only thing you’re taking home is dessert if you choose to. Our server(Cindy) was great, took good care of us. We’d go back, yet we’re not in a hurry to return. The Cheesecakes we got though were *chef’s kiss*
