You Need To Know? Arrived around 5:30 on a Friday night & this sports bar & dining room was packed. The staff, even though they were busy, quickly prepped a table for us, so we didn’t have to wait. Our waitress Jordan was attentive & a pleasure to joke around with. We had a tray of Sicilian, mild chicken bites, & a fried shrimp poboy. The food was yummy, the service was great, & this is a place you should try! Now You Know!-TBH

A great place to dine with exceptional service. Our waitress, Dawn, was so professional and down to earth! She made our dining experience great with her wonderful personality and attention to detail! Highly recommend the mild garlic wings. The wings were large and very meaty cooked perfectly, crispy but not overdone. We also got the chicken bacon ranch pizza. It was loaded with bacon and chicken! Worth every penny.

I ate here for the First time ever while attending a wedding reception this past weekend. The appetizers of Pizza and Wings were absolutely amazing and the main course was even better. The food was cook perfectly and the drinks were also made great. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. While we ate under the pavilion behind the restaurant, the restaurant itself has outdoor seating in the back with TV’s to watch your favorite game. If yup haven’t been here before, stop by and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Update: 2nd visit this summer and tried the Black & Blue Wings (shown in pic). These wings are baked with rub rather than fried and then i chose mild sauce that has the bleu cheese in it. Absolutely delicious. Also shown is the black and blue burger Also fantastic. — Lived in NEPA for years and this was my first visit. Nice bar food menu and great pizza. All the food was terrific. They have a great outdoor patio area with a bar as well as nice indoor seating with a bar as well. Pretty decent draft beer selection too.
Enjoyed a chicken cheesesteak with some crispy wings and a couple Mango Cart beers on a sunny Friday Memorial Day weekend evening. Definitely on the list for repeat visits .

Attended an annual club Christmas party at this location and will not go back again, last night was the worst! Upon entering I looked into the kitchen and saw employees with long hair NOT in hair nets and hair not pulled up along with no one wearing gloves while handling food! Buffet style dinner in the back banquet room which is always where our party is but the food took a turn for the worst! Several people at our table got the breaded pork chops and when they cut into them they were bright pink/purple in color! The chicken marsala was at least cooked, but cold and stringy. Scalloped potato’s looked and tasted like they just came out of the box. We told the server who said “she would look into it” but didn’t return for quite a while. After dinner was done, the server brought out another tray of pork chops, this time she said it was “cooked to temperature”, but this was after many others in the room had already eaten the pork chops! Very sad to see this lack of food safety and quality!

Enjoywd the Checkerboard especially when the outside deck is open. Unfortunately service is slow. Ordered Boneless Wings, the portion was small and Thai sauce tasted like their mild wings sauce. The waitress said it was Thai. Ordered a thin pizza with sweet sauce, meatballs and onion. The sauce definitely wasn’t sweet and the pizza was dry and over cooked. Hopefully this was just a bad day. We will definitely give the Checkerboard another try.
