Literally my favorite place in town!!! Wines you can’t get anywhere else. Reasonable prices. Cozy vibes. And incredible service! Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely try it out if you haven’t yet!!

I came too late to try some of the food and coffee but it’s cool. I was just walking around and found this place on a whim. I had the Reisling and it was really tasty. Friendly sommelier also.

One of our favorite spots to cozy up and talk. Unparalleled wine selection in Greater Lafayette. Marla & Michelle & their team know their stuff. Great vibe for conversation and connection. And, some wonderful food options, too. If the weather is nice, they have a great street-side patio.

Perhaps timing a super busy Wednesday evening where staff seemed unable to keep up, one Reisling glass my sister got had ice chunks, another friend’s French red seemed rotten somehow, the worst tasting expensive drink I’ve ever had. That includes Three Floyd’s stouts which rival sewage. Charcuterie board was fine. Salad a typical strawberry affaire. Chocolate Torte and my Teays River lager the two redeeming qualities. It’s a fun space with outdoor seating, a lot of energy and only the tiny wall bar space left for us. Maybe I’ll try again but with many better places offering bigger menus, better value, and in tune service like Black Sparrow, Red Seven, and my all time city favorite Town and Gown, I suspect I’ll let all the others enjoy the wine here since all I did was whine!

Perfectly appointed. Cozy. Plenty of seating for all kinds of needs – all day wine sipping, coffee with friends, or working.
Lovely menu.
Had the best bubbly !

The tipping prompts at Cellar Wine Bistro are a staggering 22%, 25%, and 30% which felt presumptuous and left a sour taste after an otherwise pleasant visit. We came on Wine Wednesday and enjoyed good bar service, tasty pizza, and a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. However, being dismissed to the bar after waiting at the host stand wasn’t a great first impression, and the tipping culture was frustrating.

I worked in the service industry and fully support fair tipping, but defaults as high as 30% feel out of line—restaurants should pay staff fairly instead of relying on inflated default tipping prompts. I’ll probably return, but future diners should be aware of this policy.

This is a great and cozy spot to sip some wine and hang out with your friends that are too classy for light beer and pool. They have a great selection of wine and a small selection of snacks to go with your booze. On Wednesdays they offer some $5 glasses of wine.

Cellar 422 was the name of their old place, this is now called the The Cellar – Wine Bistro. Run by the same management as the previous establishment. This is my first time ever here.

We made a reservation for Saturday night and tried their Wildflower Sauvignon Blanc and Brie en Croute. I loved the sauvignon blanc and the brie was fabulous (a little small in terms of portion) but everything on the platter was delicious.

They do wines by the glass and by the bottle, and if available, will let you sample the one’s by the glass prior to ordering, which was really helpful. They have an extensive wine list, and group the wines per region and whether they’re old world or new world.
Our server was fantastic and really patient with us, as we took a while deciding on what we wanted!

I really liked their decor and aesthetics. It’s a cozy place, tastefully decorated and furnished. Great for a date night or for a group of friends.

Would I go back? Most definitely yes!
P.S. they’ve also started doing brunch every 1st and 3rd Sunday – the menu looks great and reasonably priced. They take reservations.

Finally got to try out their Brunch menu.

I got their eggs benedict which was really delicious (and came with three eggs!). The only thing I felt was a bit off was the raw tomato in there… I think it would have enhanced the flavours if they had roasted it. Salmon was on point.

Their croque madame was fantastic. Definitely recommend this. My friend got their nutella crepe which was a little too sweet. Probably best sharing this with someone.

Mimosa’s were yummy and overall, a great experience. I’d definitely go back. Great service.
