I was just passing through and was looking for a little spot to grab some lunch. I much prefer independently owned placed over the chain restaurants. This spot didn’t disappoint. What a cute little cafe! I like the decor. Everyone was so nice and the service was excellent. I tried my first ever slug burger, and it was delicious! The food was great and the price was very reasonable!

Great breakfast, as others have noted, the pancakes are dinner-plate sized, I had a fried bologna and egg biscuit which is hard to find, elsewhere. Seems to be a hometown favorite but the crowd and staff was welcoming even to some Yankee interlopers. We really enjoyed our breakfast at Cardinal Cafe!

We drove past several places that are capable of serving breakfast, including my kitchen to eat. We get in, and the waitress was clearly needing some help. For someone that was busting her tail, plus the cook came out and was helping her as well, so there was no can anybody help around here thing. But they were both the nicest people. We did not have to wait that long to get anything. And I mean everything. The plates of food looked amazing for being so packed. And when one was wrong because she asked for no gravy, they fixed it right away. I’ve never seen a pancake that size. All the food was hot, the coffee was delicious, and we were pretty happy for six people and then to take care of the rest? Will be back. By the way why haven’t you gone?

Country fried steak didn’t seem to contain meat. Was the consistency and flavor of a bad hush puppy. Waitress got my wife’s order really wrong and it took a long time to get. Would not come back.

We are from Louisville Kentucky and we come down here a handful of times a year. This is the best restaurant, imo, that Adamsville has. We are always trying to find a good place to eat every time we come down and I believe we found a staple. Thanks so much.
