I went here for lunch on a work trip. The meal started with a bread basket which was fine, nothing overly special about. I got a cup of the lobster bisque soup, it was fantastic. Massive chunks of lobster meat with a thick and flavorful broth. My main course was the ribeye sandwich with caramelized onions and melted cheese. I was pleasantly surprised on the size of the ribeye on the sandwich. It was expertly cooked. The duck fat fries were delicious with a nice crunch on every fry. Kind of pricey, but a beautiful location, super clean, and a nice testament to some of Minnesotas finest celebrities!

Stopped in to get a bite on our way to catch a show!!! The food and atmosphere was very neat. The menu has a variety of dishes and entrees. I went with the steak they cooked it perfectly nice and juicy and very tender!!! My wife’s dish didn’t disappoint either the chicken was delicious!!! Definitely stopping in next time we are in the Twin Cities

As good as the food is, the experience and service are the absolute BEST! If you’re in the dining room and have Jaime (our all-time fave), Angel, Hung, or Danny…or Emily or Mike at the bar, you know you’re going to receive the best greeting from Kennedy, and feel like a VIP any night. I cannot rave about this staff enough, and the food is always perfection!

It was good. But it’s nowhere worth the cost. My dry aged steak with Kona coffee crust was about $80. I’ve had better steak at the VFW for $20 and that included veggies and potatoes. The soup was excellent. Sides were ok. But again, for the cost, I deserve excellent and I didn’t get that. Service was impeccable. Just quite disappointed with the actual quality of food.

My family has spent the last two Thanksgivings at The Capital Grille and always had great experiences, so we decided to go again this year. Unfortunately, this Thanksgiving was a disaster.

We made our reservation over a month and a half in advance for 6:45 PM, yet we were seated in the bar area right next to the door, where it was freezing. I had to keep my coat on the entire time, and the spot we were in made my food turn cold very quickly. If we wanted to sit in a bar on Thanksgiving, we would not have chosen a place at this price point. At this cost, it is mandatory to receive both great food and a great atmosphere.

The Thanksgiving plates were almost sold out by the time we arrived, and we only got them because our waiter quickly put in the order. We did not have any napkins, silverware, or the drinks we had ordered prior until after our food came out. On a normal night, this might not have been that big of a deal, but at this price point, it absolutely is.

We were also barely there for 30 minutes, and it took us longer to get to the restaurant than it took to finish the entire meal. I could not enjoy my family time because everything felt rushed from the moment we sat down. I understand it is a busy night, but we made our reservation so far in advance and have never had an experience like this here before.

Based on this experience, I would not trust this restaurant for holidays anymore. After two great years, this was such a disappointing drop in quality and care.

Visited about a week ago. From beginning to end, my experience here was exceptional. The reservation process was easy, and the wait was short despite the busy dinner service. My date and I were given a very detailed description of the menu and specials for the evening. My drink was so well made I could not compliment it enough. Every course served complimented the next. I would provide more specific details, but there’s only so much space in this text box time and to type it.

My return trip to Minneapolis will include another dinner here.

Unmatched care and attention to detail.

The service here is always spot on, everyone is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and how the food is prepared. Very extensive wine list and the cocktails are fantastic (blackberry bourbon sidecar is one of my go-to’s). Every course has something to offer for everyone. I usually always get the seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails but I’ve tried a number of other things from seafood to beef to chicken and they’ve all been wonderful. Although the bill tends to add up pretty quick, you will not be disappointed with the food or service. Highly recommend coming here.
